Worked very nicely under our round rug. Minimal padding and stays put. Our cats are very attracted to it, if any of it is lifted up haha

This is the first rug pad I've used that doesn't slide around on my tile floors. Even with 3 big dogs running across it and using it as their launching pad, it just doesn't budge at all. My rug is happy & so am I.

Purchased Oct 2020 : original review: (see update below) I bought this (over other brands) because the package and description indicates there is a film to remove so you can stick it to your carpet. This was false and I feel mislead. There is no film to remove. both sides of the pad are the same amount of stickiness, so there is no "sticking it to the carpet.) One side is flat, the other side is textured. I wish I knew what side went to the floor and which is to the carpet. Textured side to carpet to grip fibers...makes sense. But so does textured side to floor for maximum non skid.Also, as others have mentioned. Very obnoxious chemical smell. I have a head ache from it. Pad is out front airing now.i will update after it has been in use for a few days as to how it actually performs.Editing to add: After over 6 weeks of use.The one I bought was round, and we trimmed it to size. For some reason, it keeps stretching and peeking out from under the rug. To be clear, it is getting bigger than the rug. This has happened 3 times now. We cut it down and then it stretches and is peeking out from under the rug. Also the little pieces on the edge keep breaking off and their are pieces every where. Full disclosure: we used this under a round rug that an office chair is sitting on, so I guess the pad is getting rolled out like dough?It does still keep the rug from moving around like it did before and it has not stained our floor. Our floors are laminate. So we keep using it and trimming it, hoping it will, eventually, stop stretching out.Aug 2022 update: We ended up hot gluing this to the bottom of the rug and it stopped stretching out. I am here to buy another for a duplicate circle rug purchased for our office chair. I am glad i read this because now I remember i will have to hot glue it down. I am choosing to buy over looking for something else because I know this products quirks and it has never stained or stuck to our floor.
