Good enough for the price. It's not the best quality but for the price it will last for what you need. It's a bit catchy when it expands but it will do what you need it to do. If you plan to use it a lot - get a higher quality one.

Easy installation. Intuitive keypad controls. Intelligent app design. Works as advertised. Convneient AirBNB integration. Only bad marks are relatively shorter battery life on standard wifi. An excellent product at a reasonable price point and even more of a must buy when on sale.

It's a pricy product but, in my opinion, worth it. HomeKit/Alexa compatible with remote app accessibility. I love the "lock after 10 minutes" feature on the app so I know my house isn't left unlocked (for too long) after I leave.

I've been using this lock for a couple of months now. The HomeKit features work well, it works reliably, and battery consumption is pretty reasonable. Unfortunately, I had some installation issues that should have been easily resolved but Allegion (the company that bought the Schlage brand in 2013) turned out to have the worst customer support I've literally ever dealt with. When I first bought this lock on Amazon, I laid out out all the parts and realized I was missing a couple that were listed in the instructions. They were parts for one of two methods offered for installing the strike plate, and I quickly realized that I needed the missing parts for the second option for it to work properly with my door frame. I contacted Allegion and they told me to return it for a replacement. I did, only to find the same parts missing in the replacement. At that point, having already wasted my time (and Amazon's resources), Allegion changed their tune and began insisting the missing parts were "extras" that I didn't need but could purchase if desired. Hilariously, to try to prove their point the CSA sent me a third party installation video which clearly did have the parts I was missing in the box. So, they apparently decided at some point to just start withholding some pieces of the kit to sell for extras. Rather than just admit that, though, I had to spend literally weeks going back-and-forth, eventually with a supervisor, until they finally relented and sent me the missing pieces. They had suggested several times I use the alternative installation method, despite it being a poor choice for my door. You would think a lock manufacturer would care enough about home security not to recommend you install their locks incorrectly. At no point during any of this did they apologize for their time-wasting nonsense, however, and to the very end maintained they were doing me a gracious favour by sending the missing parts. Borderline scamming behaviour. Oh, and the kicker? I was still missing the screws for the "extra" piece and had to re-use the ones from my old lock.Aside from the unbelievably frustrating experience with Allegion, the biggest downside of this product is the actual lock cylinder. It's advertised as a "Grade 1" lock but it's important to note that that security metric is only for the lock housing. The cylinder is Schlage's common 5-pin C (SC1) keyway that you'll see on most of their residential locks. The assumption for any lock of that grade is that a home invader would rather smash a window or take a similar alternative route instead of spending time picking/raking/bumping your lock. Regardless of how fair that assumption is, though, lock manufacturers can at least boost security a bit by choosing good key bittings (cut patterns). Schlage does not seem to do this, however—my key had one the lowest security bittings you can possibly cut. A locksmith confirmed this, and swapped out my cylinder for a high security alternative from a different manufacturer. I can understand having the SC1 keyway as standard (high security cylinders are quite expensive), but the lack of any thought put into the pinning is pretty consistent with the general lack of concern they displayed during my interactions. It also seems like an oversight to not make it upgradeable to one of Schlage's own high security cylinders (the housing is too short). However, with the alternative cylinder and using Apple Home exclusively to manage the digital features, I shouldn't ever need to deal with Allegion customer support again for this lock—and that is just fine by me.There aren't a lot of HomeKit lockset options on the market, especially ones that use Home Key, and it's getting the job done so I can't really say "don't buy this lock". However, if there is any other lock from a company other than Schlage/Allegion that will satisfy your needs, avoid this one if you can. It's not worth it to potentially have to deal with Allegion if you have any problems.

UPDATE and some tipsDecided to give a last chance and it worked. If you are going to use the express mode by more than one user. Do not pair the lock with Schlage Home app, use Apple Home app instead. If you need help beyond pairing, call Apple Care service.I succeeded to configure my wife's and my own iPhones. Works fine now with HomeKit in express mode (touch the panel). The mechanical installation is straight forward. Completed it in about 10 minutes....And then comes the fun. Tried following the instructions to pair the lock with my iPhone XS. Didn't work, so I switched to the barcode option. A little bit struggle with that I eventually succeeded (Hurray!!!). Added it to HomeKit and It even works with touch screen (Home Key). Then I tried to add another phone. After another set of struggle succeeded to add it to the other phone Schlage and HomeKit apps, but the Schlage app says the lock is unreachable. The HomeKit says it is not responsive. On the first iPhone is is also says that the lock is not responsive, but it works fine with HomeKit and Home Key. Called the customer service, after waiting online for over 40 min just gave up. Returning it to Amazon.

This works fine normally, but if you stretch it all the way out, it can be devilish to close it up without bending one of the tines, which ruins it. Heavier weight metal would be better.

What I don't like is how stiff it is to get back to it's "closed" position. The metal is quite thin and weak. So if you have it opened out for wide button spacing it was a bit of a chore to close it back, but it did go back and I didn't permanently bend it out of shape.
