You'll like this EMT detector. Very sensitive and has auto shut off in case you forget to. Came as advertised and packed great. Good value as well. Give it a try. You'll like it.

We got this out of curiosity on how much EMF we are subject to on a daily basis and where the sources are coming from. With a homeschool highschool aged child, this became an educational tool and we started monitoring all kinds of devices - wireless router, kitchen appliances, smart meters and more. This has given us plenty of information to make changes, where we could, and how we can reduce or shield other items we cannot remove. Over all, this has been a very educational and enlightening process, and we couldn't have done it without this tool. It works very well, is easy to read an understand, and the education begins here. 100% satisfied and recommended.

This EMF meter has been a helpful edition for monitoring, whether at home or out and about. The 5 LED magnetic field detector is user-friendly and provides clear readings that make it easy to understand the electromagnetic fields around me. I haven't used it for paranormal phenomena yet, but the main reason I got it was to get a quick and dirty reading on the EMF concentrations in my home. I'm pretty impressed with its detection and response. The compact design makes it easy to carry, and the included battery means I was ready to go right out of the box. I'm not sure how accurate it is, but it does detect EMFs around my WiFi. I do engage in metaphysical exploration and plan to try it for anomaly detection and expect it will provide a fun way to engage with the unknown.

This is a colourful, easy to use device for detecting EMF (Electric Magnetic Fields) in the surrounding area. It has a fairly fast response, and a colourful lighted readout of 5 coloured lights, matching coloured strips, and mG (milligauss) numbers to identify the signal strength. One button turns the EMF Meter On/Off, and that’s about it for controls. It does work quite well, and very quickly lights up when held near cell phones, routers, and microwave ovens while operating. In the case of microwave ovens, the meter really lights up, and stays that way for a few feet. This indicates a zone one should not linger in. There are some current studies measuring the EMF fields and hazards of cell phones, especially when carried close on your person. As for ghost hunting, why not? Some adults and young ones got quite excited when I got this unit. As for me, as a young child II lived with my grandparents in a nice, but very old house in Ireland, while my parents were overseas with IRO / UNNRA. The house was haunted. Everyone knew that. I had no concerns. This FOCHANC EMF Meter comes complete with a carrying case, instruction booklet, and includes a 9 volt battery. It is a good tool for identifying hazards we have grown to live with, and it’s a fun device for ghost hunting. If there is something strange in the neighbourhood, who you gonna call??

I had higher hopes than I should have for this EMF meter. It comes with a soft zippered carrying pouch, a 9v battery and an instruction manual. It’s made of hard plastic and while its durable, it feels light and cheap. It seems like they could’ve made it smaller if there’s a lack of components inside, but what do I know about electronics and the schematics of this device; but I do have a few other EMF meters that fit in the palm of my hand. There's only one button to operate it and it's the red power button that's made out of rubber with no click. When you turn it on the lights all light up colorfully. It does work to detect EMF very close by and it's fairly consistent but the issue is that the meter is not a precise reading as you only get five levels. I prefer the EMS meters that have a digital reading where you can see the actual number which gives you a more accurate reading. The orange grips on the side are made of very hard rubberized plastic which does not feel much like rubber at all, adding to the cheap feeling but they still work to improve grip. The battery compartment for the 9-volt battery barely has enough space for the thickness of the 9-volt battery as when you try to close it, it's hard to close and the battery compartment cover bulges out. It was very difficult to open this battery compartment cover as the part with the grooves where it says OPEN flexes down when you try to push it so it works against your own forces on the opposite side as it is actually on a hinge and not a removable cover that you would have expected. The proper way to open it is to pull the cover down in the direction of the arrows but not to push too hard down on the panel but to pull it down towards the bottom of the unit and then it swings up on a hinge. In operation it is silent which can be nice.I already own a few other EMF meters which I prefer to use over this one so thats why I am not impressed. It's not to say that this is bad but it is entry-level and basic so I would not recommend it but I would also not recommend against it. 3 of 5
