I was initially hesitant about the SONIC ENERGY pickup, having read mixed reviews. However, the appealing price (especially compared to the significantly more expensive H1 handpan pickup I also tested) led me to give it a try. I'm glad I did!My testing focused on sound quality, noise levels, and overall performance. Surprisingly, the SONIC ENERGY pickup outperformed the H1. While the sound quality of both pickups was comparable, the SONIC ENERGY's built-in volume control proved invaluable. When playing my tongue drum, the SONIC ENERGY's increased volume allowed me to clearly hear each note, effectively leveling the drum's vibrations. Crucially, both pickups were impressively noise-free.Despite the H1's reputation as a high-quality handpan pickup, and its premium price (three times higher than the SONIC ENERGY), the SONIC ENERGY emerged as the clear winner in terms of overall performance. The added volume control and comparable sound quality make it an exceptional value. I'm thrilled with the SONIC ENERGY pickup so far, and I hope it continues to perform this well over time. Oh yeah, by the way I’m not getting paid for this review.

Good sound quality, the magnet is strong and makes good contact with my handpan, decent length of lead. Does the job very well.

Der Klang ist gut, die Magnethaftung ausreichend, der Sonic Energy ist sehr leicht. Die Haftfläche ist gepolstert, somit entstehen keine Kratzer. Über einen Volumepoti hat man die möglichkeit die Lautsärke zu regeln.

Solo duro 3 semanas. La segunda semana el sonido empezó a distorsionarse y la tercera semana ya no funcionaba.
