Got the 39". Works well when not installed. If the air pressure isn't equal on both sides the flame is almost non existent. Basically it can't be installed in a boxed area. Needs to be in the wide open. Been testing to find a solution but no luck and no response from seller for assistance. Updated to 1 star as I haven't gotten any response from seller or manufacturer.

This thing looks so outrageously extravagant, I just had to test it out to see what all the fuss is about, and first impressions did not disappoint for sure. For starters, it arrives in a literal casket. Open up the shipping box, and you're presented with a medium sized wooden casket that can allow your favorite small to medium sized pet to rest in perpetual peace. I got the 31.5" version, so I shudder to think about the caskets for the 60" and above sizes. It comes very well-secured - there are six total latches, and although mine came with an end latch that was busted during shipping, it still held fine. Once opened and set up, it works fine, and looks like a million bucks. It uses a diffuser style of emission, but stronger than your typical oil diffuser/humidifier. The strength of the motor allows the vapor/mist to be quite thick, and the effect is then amplified by bright LED lights which adorn the length of the device, just behind the slit for the mist/vapor. The combination of the mist and lights create quite a striking visual effect, and it looks AWESOME! To be honest, looking at the outrageous prices - ending with $1500 for the 80-inch version, I would have rated this four stars at best, mainly because I don't think it's worth that much. However, there's a weird pricing going on for the 31.5-inch, which I have. Based on the pricing model, the smallest is the 20-inch version, which is selling for $450, and the 40-inch version, which sells for $800. Based on that, this 31.5" version should be around $600, but as of this writing, it's priced right at $350, which is cheaper than the 20" version. Therefore, this 31.5" version is the best value of the whole bunch, and even though that's still a lot of money, if you have it to spare, I can vouch for the cool factor of this device. The only thing it can't do, is keep you warm. But at least you don't have to worry about burning your money as you're flinging around the Benjamins, being the millionaire that you are to have something like this as a toy.

Honestly, prior to this fireplace? I had no idea that water could be used to simulate flames, yes! Vapors rise the faux flames, a sort of fog type vapor is used in the simulated flames that flicker to seem the same as the real thing! I do not know if this is truth? But it seems a safer way to enjoy the look of real flames, without the danger logs or gas could cause. Please note this is my personal thought, and do not have documentation in proof.The length is 31.5 inches, width 8.27, with a voltage of 110v-120v, and a US standard socket to plug, allowing the nine (9) various colors provided. The water has a control system that allows the misting system that supplies the faux flames on a regulated manner, keeping the look of flames as they seemingly flicker as close to the real thing! As close as possible but without producing the heat that those of us that live in areas heat intensive year round. How wonderful to be able to enjoy a beautifully flame fireplace including the colors that are involved and without the heat that if included would be in need of a/c to allow comfortable enjoyment.The remote the regulation of the strength in flames and thus colors can be suited to what intensity you find most enjoyable, and specifically designed to allow your choices in colors as well as intensity!Nothing I have missed more than a cozy fire during my time residing in Florida. Having tried several different varieties of faux fireplaces, I think this might be the most I have enjoyed personally. And feel it is safer than others used prior, no ashes floating about? With no gas possibly escaping unknown and creating a unhappy or at the possible toxicity if unnoticed for periods of time. This water/steam/fog system provides a beautiful simulation of what I have missed & am so happy to have now! The upcoming holidays will have the background of colorful flames, an addition I am so excited to be able to include this year. A true gift to me, with a delightful accent of beauty during family gatherings. I recommend a gift for all that enjoy a beautiful fire, without all the effort of wood, or concerns in gas. Very pleased and looking forward to the use of in the upcoming months and beyond! Thank you!
