We rescued a dog who has severe separation anxiety and have been crate training her. We left her for 2 hours in the crate and she managed to escape and break the tray as it was plastic. We bought a metal tray in hopes that she wouldn’t damage anything as we were scared the plastic tray would cut her whenever she chews into it.Ever since getting the metal tray, my dog has not escaped once. We followed another review and also zip tied the corner of the crate. She loves going into her crate after long walks and nothing gets damaged. I have no worries of it breaking. Overall it is great for my dog and house! We have placed a dog bed over it so it’s comfortable for her.

Tray works great for our husky that chewed the plastic tray. The only thing I would critique is the tray is rusting in a couple spots and I don’t know why. The tray and cage stay inside.

I received this item yesterday and like many other reviews it was damaged. I was able to fix it to where it is usable and it seems like it is a durable product.

My pup has separation anxiety, so crating is necessary. Unfortunately this also means that she destroys the plastic trays that originally come in the bottom of the metal crates. I was about to purchase another plastic one, when a friend recommended this. It fits perfectly and is manufactured extremely well. There are no sharp edges and we’ve made it several months without any damage. Only downside is that it is significantly louder than the plastic version, but for the price, the value is worth the slight inconvenience.

Since our dog ripped apart the original plastic tray this is the Perfect metal replacement tray for the Pet Lodge dog kennel. Arrived in perfect New condition.
