In my search for swimwear that would make me feel comfortable both in and out of the water, I came across these trunks, which seemed to fulfill all of the requirements that I had in mind. A decent pair of swim shorts, in my opinion, should not only allow me to move about easily, but they should also provide sufficient coverage and support to minimize any awkwardness that may occur while I am among other people. Right from the beginning, I became aware that I could wear them for wandering around the beach in a casual manner just as readily as I could wear them for swimming. As soon as I put these trunks on, I experienced a degree of snugness that was not unpleasant under any circumstances. The built-in compression liner had a supporting feel to it, and I found it very useful since it had the ability to keep everything in place without making me feel constrained. I used to wear standard swim shorts that did not provide much in the way of support. As a result, I had a lot of negative experiences in the past when I attempted to participate in activities such as snorkeling or beach volleyball and ended up feeling uncomfortable during the event. However, I did not have any of those issues while I was wearing these shorts. This product was something that I used on an almost daily basis for the duration of my vacation, particularly when we scheduled activities such as gatherings by the poolside and short treks along the beach. I was able to save a lot of bother thanks to the quick-dry option. During one particular morning, for example, I went for a swim in the pool, but then I remembered that we had to hurry up and leave since we had a reservation for brunch. I believe that the fact that I was able to dry off rapidly was a significant advantage since it meant that I did not have to instantly change out of them. This additional convenience grew increasingly crucial as the vacation progressed, particularly if I wanted to leave the pool and go directly to the store to get a snack or refill my water bottle without wetting the floor.

The compression liner was uncomfortable and poorly constructed, feeling cheap and restrictive. The "quick dry" claim was a joke; they took forever to dry. The pockets were shallow and practically useless. The overall quality was extremely poor, with loose threads and flimsy material. I wouldn't recommend these to anyone. One star, and that's being generous.

I picked up the large size which is what all my other shorts are and this seemed a little large for me around the waist. For reference, I am 6ft tall, about 200lbs, and a dad bod type. I washed it thinking it may shrink a little to fit, but it still feels a little loose for me. The inner compression liner fits great and is comfortable, but I would be concerned about the waist slipping down while coming out of the water. If it had a tie string this would be perfect, that is why I gave it three stars.

My husband likes these swim shorts alot. His favorite part is that they have compression shorts underneath to prevent chafing. They have open pockets on each side as well as on the compression shorts. They have a stretchy waistband and fit him well. They dry fast especially in the sun.
