This was going to be my long awaited NAS all-in-one upgrade, with enough muscle to do other things too. It's small and very compact, nice. I like the way it comes apart with a press on the spring loaded button. It feels good.I had some major issues on my first install of Fedora, couldn't get the 10G ethernet to work for more than a few seconds, then it froze and came back 1-2 minutes later. Spent a few evenings on the issue, the LiveCD worked fine, but once the system was installed and updated it stopped working. Reinstalled several times and suddenly it started working. After that it worked fine, no more freeze or disconnects.I have 2x 8GB 2.5" SATA drives and was planning to mount one on the bottom with the included adapter and get a SATA PCIe card for the other one. However the bottom adapter isn't for regular SATA drives, apparently some specific drives with similar SATA connector, but PCIe compatible.I could probably connect my two drives with a USB adapter instead without loosing too much performance, but why then buy this at all, plenty of other mini PCs available with more powerfull processors. It's quiet, didn't get loud doing any network traffic stuff, not sure how it would sound under full load. The missing ECC on the memory also is a bit disappointing, this was supposed to be for storing valuable data.

This is a versatile and small form factor that would easily fit in a 10" rack. I put 96GB RAM, 2TB M.2 SSD and a SAS to SATA card with external ports to connect a bunch of 3.5" drives. 3 of these in a Promox cluster are awesome. Two 10 GB Ethernet ports, two 2.5 GB Ethernet ports, two USB-4 ports (40 gb total and 20 gb bi-directional) makes for very fast selection of ports. Also all but the lowest end unit support Intel management if you want to use it. I replaced used enterprise servers with these and most of my VM's and containers run on one host with more than enough overhead. I removed and replaced the thermal paste with better stuff, but I am not sure I needed to do so.

I had issues with my system and went for a replacement. It took a while for the manufacture to respond but they finally did and offered a full refund for the system which I greatly appreciate. Otherwise, it was a good PC well I had it overall and did work well besides the cmos battery issue.
