This stuff works great on hook and loop spindles. Durable and doesn't clog easily.

Mirkas autonet is a great product It is the only sanding abrasive I use in my shop.I would recommend it to anyone.

I built a 4"x18" Drum Sander which uses hook and loop sandpaper. I've seen others use regular hook and loop sandpaper and almost immediately have to deal with the grit clogging. This is actually a grit on an open mesh. I am absolutely sold on it. I've taken off old varnish, trued boards, etc., and I have yet to have it clog. To me it is worth its weight in gold :-)

Autonet/Abranet sanding mesh is the best sanding media...period. It lasts 7 to 10 times longer than regular sandpaper plus it doesn't clog up with fibers. If it does clog up tap it on the bench or hit it with some air and it's gone. If it clogs with tree sap or finish, simply soak the pad for a couple minutes and blow out the debris and continue sanding. I also like the ability to see through the mesh when I'm hand sanding.
