Bought to use on my Jeep Wrangler JK, after discovering that the chinese Astro knockoff kit I bought prior to this wouldn't seal. This kit has less adapters but has the No 3 push-n-twist adapter for the Wrangler, and worked fine. The pump seemed a little more robust, a little heavier.A few drawbacks, though, I found the screw-on adapter for doing the rad cap pressure test leaked slightly. Soap and water revealed that the black hose fitting wasn't sealed properly to the main yellow body of the adapter. This might be why so many reviewers complained about how long it takes to pump up pressure. I'll try so JB weld or RTV and see if it helps.Second drawback - as others pointed out, the pressure release lever on the pump is insanely sensitive, you will inadvertently spoil you test three or four times each use because you'll brush it lightly with your hand or lean it on something on the engine and it'll shift slightly and let all the pressure out. Would be way better with a decent spring on there.Last drawback, although should be understood from the ad copy, is that it doesn't come in a hard case, just cardboard and flimsy plastic. So if you're one of those people who likes having sets of stuff rattling randomly around shelves in your shop, falling to the floor while you're looking for the adapters, or stuffed haphazardly into and old carboard box, this is the set for you.Overall I'm happier with it than my other OIMERRY brand set though.

Picked this up to pressure test the cooling system of my Subaru, and it worked well. It isn't cheap like a lot of the "really cheap" units out there, but the advantage here is that it works right out of the box without issue. I was able to quickly pressure test both my radiator caps, as well as the cooling system of my car, and came to some interesting conclusions that I otherwise would never have known. No real issues with it. The tool itself is made from some kind of composite plastic, so I would say that its construction is probably more geared toward the shade tree mechanic rather than a full blown mechanic shop. Aside from that, it does what it says on the tin.One thing to be aware of though is that there is a list of manufacturers that the tool supports. Might be wise to crosscheck their Mityvac's website to ensure that your application is supported. With that said, the tool comes with several adapters to cover a wide range of applications.

Used it to diagnose a leaking radiator on my Dodge minivan - worked great. After first few pumps I saw right away I had a small crack in the plastic part of my radiator where fluid was squirting out. I've seen people concerned that there is no molded case. However, the item comes in a plastic molded deal that holds all the pieces nicely - but uncovered. I set it in a rollaway tool chest for storage and that will be perfect for me. Otherwise you could use the Amazon box the item comes in for storage. Not fancy, but good enough. The item utilizes a plastic tube for connecting the pump to the assorted caps. I could see the ends on that wearing out over time if you use this on a frequent basis. You could cut the ends off whenever that happens, but after doing that a few time the hose would be too short to use - so if you plan on using this a lot you'll probably be needing to buy more hose eventually. Also they include two hose-attachment caps and a spare. They also include a manual that shows you which cap to use on what vehicle - but there are only four caps and you don't really need calibrated eyeballs to figure out which one you need. It would've been nice if they had included what pressure your cooling system uses in the manual, but they probably didn't for liability reasons so if you blow a hose you can't blame them. I think you can get the cooling system pressure off a label under the hood or off the radiator cap. I just figured 15 psi for my car because that is what I heard once was pretty standard. It didn't matter anyway for me because at about 4 PSI it was pretty clear where the leak was.The item seems well built and should last a long time for people using it for personal use. I don't know if I'll ever need it again, but it's cheaper to buy this than have the car diagnosed by a mechanic.

Just tested mine today on two new radiator caps (1.1 / 16lbs). Guess what ? the cheap cap only could hold 10.4 lbs of pressure and the quality cap holds a solid 15.7 lbs. Talk about accurate. Most pressure gauges I come into contact with are way off (like 5 - 15 lbs off) and its surprising to find one in a value kit thats very accurate. The kit comes with caps that fit virtually all common vehicles and some uncommon ones. The overall built quality is VERY good for the price. Very, very sturdy caps and sturdy, rugged adapter neck. Solid, thick, no nonsense rubber seals on the caps. The only flaw is, might be the pump itself, as this is made mostly of plastic, and anything thats made of plastic that gets repeatedly flexed gets worn down very quickly. But again the price is a major factor in selling point. After all, its not meant for commercial purposes, its for home use. As such, we should not go out and test 100 cars with it.The manual is a bit on the o.k. side. But more work needs to be done in that area. The manufacturer places too much emphasis on repeated safety rather thanwhy the diagnosis is accurate in (that user) instance. Meaning, in some instances the diagnosis is a bit ambigious. To say that the problem MIGHT BE the head or block, you should change the gasket - is not really comprehensive enough. Its definitely a must buy for home mechanics. Definitely a 5 star product. Absolutely glad I bought it. Its possibly the cheapest quality tester on the market right now.
