This fit and worked perfectly in a 2009 Civic. It fixed the problem with not being able to select where the air comes out on the dashboard. The previous one was intermittent at best this seems to function perfectly. It wasn’t horribly easy to change but wasn’t as bad as expected either. The whole effort took maybe 30 minutes to complete. There are three 7mm screws holding it in. I would suggest having a very short 1/4” ratchet to make things easier. Mine was I think 4” or a bit shorter. I also removed the glove box and kick panel under the glovebox to make it easier to see what you are doing. I put a small amount of grease on the cam to hopefully make it work a bit smoother. The two bottom screws you can take out easiest from under the dash and the top one you can reach through the glovebox opening. All in all, not bad for $20 and 30 minutes. Now my daughter can use the buttons again.

Got this for a friend whose blend door motor died. It was a tight fit getting the old one out and this one in, but it works now! Just in time for winter.
