Like many others have discovered, my Surface Pro 3 stopped recognizing its type cover nearly two years ago. Otherwise it works perfectly well but became nearly useless for serious use. Replacing the keyboard as per Microsoft's suggestion made no difference.These type cover replacements work almost exactly like the originals except for use of Bluetooth and having USB charging. It restored my SP3 to full functionality with no significant downsides. Outstanding!!!

I ordered and tried 3 wireless Bluetooth keyboard brands on Amazon before finding one that worked for me. This unit does appear to function as advertised (mostly).I have not been able to figure out how to make the [Alt] + [F4] work. I can't figure out how to pass the key combination to the operating system.Note: [Ctrl] + [F4] is accessible by also adding the [Fn] button to the combination, however, the [Fn] button does not work reliably to access the primary function key functions in all circumstances. If you use the function keys for their primary purpose/function, this is probably not the keyboard for you. If you only use the function keys to access their alternate or secondary function (like brightness, volume, etc.), then you likely won't have an issue.

Perfect replacement for my overused keyboard cover. Syncs quickly via Bluetooth. Easily charge from laptop and or plug in an out or other usb device. Very sturdy. Well worth the money spent.
