This is a quality product. Quality starts at the factory of course where the finished product is packed with extreme care to ship so that it arrives perfect and undamaged at your door. It is well wrapped and perfect in form and design when you unwrap it. I feel that this type of molding made from polystyrene is superior in aesthetics to wood because it has no flaws, doesn't warp, and its lightweight properties allow you to work with it more easily because it is less cumbersome when installing. Wood and vinyl might be more durable at height levels where humans and pets come in contact with it especially baseboards, toekicks, shoe molding, and casing and door trim, but very little will come in contact with crown molding to mar or damage it, so this is the perfect application. I like to build a more luxe profile with crown with additional flat molding pieces at the intersection of the ceiling and upper wall and corner pieces to avoid having to make those difficult, precise miter cuts where inner corners have to meet. My dining room is not large (11'x11') so this package is more than enough to complete the entire room.

I am reviewing Ceiling Crown Molding Trim, 10 Pack High Impact Polystyrene Decorative Ceiling Moulding, 47 Ft Total Length (56.7x2.6in,White)This comes in good lengths to make it easy to handle for installation. It is uniform and bright white. It is slightly bendable and cuts well enough with light sanding, using a miter box. Construction adhesive keeps it in place and the product is light enough that it stays put with little effort while drying. There is a space behind it that’s large enough to hide a cord if that is of interest to you. I haven’t tested the finish for durability, but barring direct trauma, I think it’s very durable. I live in a place where wood is not used in construction due to humidity and termites. This product can withstand both.

This molding looks great and is very easy to use. I tried both double stick tape and loctiite glue and they both work well. I did not have a room small enough to use one box so I decided to make a make a mirror frame for my large bathroom mirror. It was easy to do. It looks absolutely beautiful! I have plenty left for other projects. It is strong and easy to cut and glue pieces together.

Trim is very expensive, this is only a bit above $1 per linear foot. Honestly it looks like real wood. I am very impressed with the quality and the way it shipped was excellent. Great wood alternative.

Hard to go wrong here. The molding is lightweight but rigid and strong. I tried denting it, and couldn't manage to make a mark, which is such a relief after working with soft wooden molding. Each piece is individually shrink-wrapped, which is further protection against any blemishes. The glossy white finish was pristine. I don't know if I'd recommend using finishing nails on it since the surface is so smooth, but it's lightweight enough that an adhesive ought to be more than enough to hold it in place. I measured and the dimensions are as listed. Priced out against the dirty, dented stock I can get at my local home improvement store, it's a great buy.
