I got these because I was given a car with bent valves and I wasn’t sure of the condition of the bottom end of the engine so I wanted to throw it together as cheap as possible. The quality of the valves seems pretty decent and there weren’t any fitment issues. I can’t really comment on the longevity of them but the engine is running fine so far.

Fits nice in a 2006 legacy wagon. 2.5i motor. The valves are doing good still to this day.

I purchased these for a 2005 Subaru Forester 2.5L EJ253 SOHC engine. They arrived individually wrapped in plastic and placed together in a small cardboard box. The stems, faces, and tips have been finish ground, but all other surfaces of the head have a rough “cast” looking surface finish (see photos). Intake valves weigh an average of 54.4 grams and are 120.50-120.56mm long. Exhaust valves averaged 46.8 grams and are 121.60-121.63mm long. Factory spec length is int: 120.6mm, exh: 121.7mm. I lapped the valves to the valve seats and checked the pattern and all of the valves were straight and concentric. All the valves moved smoothly in the valve guides and stem diameter was also within spec.Overall, I would trust these as a stock replacement valve set that will fit and seal properly without issues, however, performance minded enthusiasts should search elsewhere.Images with valve comparisons have the Subaru factory OEM valve in the bottom or right of the image. Measurements were made with a Mitutoyo 8” digital machinist caliper and a Sharper Image kitchen scale (1 gram resolution).
