I’m a technician at a Hyundai dealership. I inspect and repair trade-ins and auction vehicles. This SRX was brought in with a delaminated screen, and none of the controls worked. GM said it can’t be replaced and that we would have to order the entire radio, so I took a chance with buying this replacement, which was the best price I could find. Just installed and everything works as it should. Save yourself some money by putting in a little more labor and buy this part!

I have a 2013 Cadillac XTS that I purchased as a certified pre-owned in early 2017. Within a few weeks, the original screen failed and showed the familiar spiderwebbing. The car was under warranty, and a local Cadillac dealer replaced it free of charge. This was around May 2017, so before the 2018 design fix. I knew the screen would fail again someday, and it did in June 2020. So both the original screen and the warranty replacement screen lasted about three years. The car is no longer under warranty, so I decided I would fix it myself this time. I looked at several options, including the more expensive CueScreens. I decided to give this one a chance. I am not disappointed.I’ll post some pics showing the before and after, and comparing the failed part to this one.As you can see, the proximity sensors are working perfectly. I think the glare is pretty much the same as the factory unit. I haven’t seen one of CueScreens products in person, but it he glare fear is the only thing that caused me pause in choosing this product. Perhaps CueScreens’ have less glare than the factory unit, and that would be a welcomed upgrade; but this product is not the glare monster some would have you believe it is.I used CueScreens’ YouTube videos for instructions on disassembly. They are pretty good. One pointer I would have is regarding removing and replacing the gear shift surround and cup holders. CueScreens says to just pull it up and back once you have the two rear screws removed. You can do it this way, but it will require a large amount of force and getting it back in that way is almost impossible. Instead, pull up the rubber liner in the bottom of the cup holders. There is a screw there. Remove it. Then carry on the exactly as CueScreens’ videos show. When you reinstall this part, it is 100x easier this way. Just pop it back in and reinstall the screw. This will save you several minutes and keep you from breaking anything.Lastly, I bought a trim removal tool kit with about 8 tools in it. Total waste. I used one tool out of the whole kit. You need a good trim removal tool, but not 8 of them. Other than that, you just need a 7mm hex (I used my socket set with extension), a #1 Phillips and a #2 Phillips screwdriver.Best of luck!
