Locking Fuel Caps
MotoRad’s locking fuel caps can function as a locking or non-locking fuel cap. When the key is turned to the left and removed, the cap is unlocked and no longer spins freely. The cap meets all emission specifications in both the locked and unlocked position.
MotoRad fuel caps are designed and manufactured to prevent fuel loss, primarily through evaporation.
A faulty or leaky fuel cap emit up-to 30 gallons of fuel per year in to the atmosphere.
MotoRad fuel caps meet all federal requirements (MVSS301) and pass the BPA's IM/240 test.

The MotorRad lock gas cap is not compatible with 2019 Toyota Tacoma SR. It triggered the engine check warning after a few days of driving. I switched back to the original cap and cleared the warning. After a brief research, I was recommended to use Stant Locking Emission Control Fuel Cap #10504 from O'Reilly which it is much different from the MotorRad cap and it works well with my truck, no warning so far. Amazon refunded me quickly as I no need to return the cap. It is going straight to a garbage can eventually.

This is a pretty good deterent. Someone messed with the lock but I don't think was able to get it open. It's pretty light and seems like it would be pretty easy to break into but I think people who do this stuff are often in a hurry. If you keep it on for a while they'll stop trying for a while.

Did not work on 2024 Toyota 4Runner. Thought this would be a great addition, but no matter how hard I tightened the cap, it would not seal properly and turned on the check engine lights. Even worse, on this model car, somehow the gas cap/evap would cause the traction control to not work either. Stay way from this product...I've got back to the Toyota OEM gas cap

El producto funcionó perfectamente. Cierra hermeticamente y con la llave le da mas seguridad. Es un producto que se recomienta al 100%.

I'm frustrated by vehicles that don't come with at LEAST a locking fuel door or locking cap. I know they aren't much protection but I couldnt believe that a full sized SUV didn't come with either. Like many I went through 2 other caps that threw a check light. Luckily I kept my OEM cap. I've had THIS one since 2015. I've LIVED in (not visited) crazy hot places and snow covered mountain places since 2015 and zero problems. Now, it's May of 2022, the cap stopped locking(i.e. doesn't free spin when locked) so now it's like a regular cap but still doesn't throw check light. For the price i'd say I got my money's worth. I Just ordered another one. Hopefully they are still making a quality product 7 years down the road from my 1st cap. Cap is for 2010 Toyota Sequoia 5.7L. I'm not POSITIVE but I've owned 3 Sequoias since 2004 (only replaced because ...who doesnt love new car smell? Lol). I have always done my own maintenance and I find that MOST.of the time sequoias use the same parts as similar year Toyota Tundras (makes sense from manufacturing standpoint. ).Sequoias 4x4 5.7L are SEEM like they took a Tundra 4x4 5.7L and added rear seats instead of a bed and a ton of soccer mom amenities lol. I'm talking PARTS wise not capability so don't flame me for trying to be helpful 😆 (though I've taken full loads of paragliding friends and equipment to steep and remote sites without roads many times and done other things that that are normally Tundra territory. It's no Tundra but it works for me. If I could afford it I'd have both. Also I've found that the Amazon "this fits/doesnt fit your car" filter isn't always right. It's good...but needs to be improved. I generally try to cross check part numbers with other sites before buying.I don't write many reviews, too many negative experiences for just trying to help. So hopefully this will help someone.(Dunno why I have to rate "mileage" a gas cap but gave it 5 just in case🙂)
