The Motorola Motorola ROKR 810 is a large, light weight speaker with a large, color changing light on the front. It immediately looks out of step with the rest of the products from Motorola sound, and it is. The speaker has extra bass, several pre-programmed eq settings, aux in and options for dc charging and usb. What it lacks is Motorola's signature clarity.What I like best about the speaker is the sensible buttons which make it easy to connect, turn the lights and extra bass on and off, connect to blue tooth or aux in,. There are karaoke features as well, and it comes with a (large) mic.The sound quality, however.... to be honest, is reminiscent of the pa system at a school carnival. The lows and mids are muddy at any volume or eq setting (trhere are 4: flat,pop.jazz and rock)and then there is extra bass, which really is very very bass heavy. I think it is awful, but can be turned off.and, what says party like your speaker screaming Hello Moto ? (yes, that really bugs me).This is the first product fro Motorola that I really have not cared for.I like that it does not look like the others. It is very portable and has party features some will like, but the sound quality leaves much to be desired. and yes, it can get loud.There's better to be had for considerably less.

This ROKR 810 is big for a Bluetooth speaker but fairly compact for a party speaker. It's loud enough to use outside but don't expect it to be a replacement for an actual PA system. The microphone is cheap but it works ok, it has a 1/4 inch jack and is just a plastic thing that allows people to sing along or make announcements at a backyard event. There are actually 2 mic inputs so you can use another mic if you want and those are very inexpensive to buy online. I like that you can link 2 speakers together, but I wasn't able to test if that works or not.The light up speaker is kind of a fun but pointless feature, I guess it adds a bit of fun for a party. I guess the feature everyone cares about is the sound quality. It's ok. It's not bad but it's not like audiophile quality. I think it's fine for the price and for what it's intended for which is just as a loud party speaker where music is playing in the background. The bass is ok, if you place the speaker near a wall it helps improve the bass a little, but sometimes that's not an option. It will distort at very loud volume, but most Bluetooth speakers will do that at a certain point.Considering they are advertising this as a "subwoofer" speaker that also has tweeters for high end, the bass wasn't as good as I was expecting. 40W sounds impressive but the larger you go with speakers, the more power they require to deliver decent bass without distortion. If you are expecting this to deliver deep, loud bass it's not going to happen. As a general party speaker that's fairly loud, it's not bad. For indoor use in a house, it's plenty loud and I like that it's a quasi-karaoke machine in addition to being a Bluetooth speaker. There is an echo feature for the mics, which does help with vocals to at least spice them up a bit. It also has an AUX input and even an FM radio which could be useful as an emergency radio if you ever need it. The reception is ok, not great but it does mostly work. I wasn't able to get any stations to work with zero static, but it could be the area I live.Battery life is good, and it's really not a bad speaker to take with you to outdoor get togethers. I'd rate this a bit above average and I've been happy with it overall.

First thing I will say about this is that this particular bluetooth speaker is HUGE. I was surprised how big this speaker was. It is something you could carry on the go with you but it is definitely not something you would carry all the time. That being said, I really loved these bluetooth speakers. I am satisfied with the sound of the speakers as this is very loud and clear. One thing to note is that this is wired and wireless. You can connect this to an aux cable. There are also ports for a microphone for karaoke if needed but I have yet to really sue that. You can actually connect this to your projector and this works great for that. I really love the sound quality on this. I have used it for my laptop and it works great. This was something I took on the go. I would not exactly say this works great for beach as it could get sand in it but it has a handle so you can easily carry it. The handle does not retract or anything like some other bluetooth speakers would have. The sound quality is really clear and has a pretty good base to it for the size. When it first arrived the initial battery charge is about 50 percent I believe and lasted for a few hours on just playing music sounds alone from my phone. Even with the bluetooth connection to other devices, it did not drain the battery too quickly. I charged it which took three to four hours to get to full, but it all depends on what media you are using. When I charged it with my laptop, it took longer than it would with a wall plug or power hub. It does use a type c connector in order to charge the device. Afterwards, I tried pairing it via Bluetooth to my phone and the sound quality was amazing. There was no lag or static even from several feet away. The sound was crystal clear and had a good bass sound to it. The device itself is a little heavy but it is a bit big so you are transporting it just know that. It will take a good amount of room in say your backpack. On Bluetooth from full charge I was able to use the speakers for several days on and off for 1 hour to 2 hours a day. The orange/ black color looks pretty nice (definitely motorola) and it is not as easy to see the scratches on the device. You also do not see the dirty on them as well. The material the device is made out of it is pretty sturdy but I wouldn't recommend dropping it. It is also not water resistant/proof so do not get it wet or you may damage the speakers. The led light is pretty nice but I do not really need it. Overall I think this is a great bluetooth speaker. It gives a good amount of range around 10-15 feet before losing any kind of sound quality and it last a pretty long time. It is definitely a must have if you want a powerful speaker to take on the go or at home just be aware that this is a heavier and bigger speaker than many other bluetooth. The LED does drain the battery little bit more but not too noticeable.
