One of the things recommended for our Caribbean cruise was a lightweight, foldable hat to wear on the beach. I am not normally someone that wears a hat, so I resisted getting this at first. After watching many videos from veteran cruisers, I surrendered and ordered this hat. When it arrived, I just put it in the stack of to be packed items. Our first day on the beach, I made sure to pack this in my bag for the trip down the gangway. I wore the hat the entire time I was out in the sun- including in the pool! It was comfortable, provided just the right amount of coverage and still was pretty stylish! Between the sunblock and the hat, I did not burn at all on the cruise.

So frustrating. I ordered the black and white sun hats and both came folded up. I hoped the marks would come out after a couple days but no so much. Sadly these are going back

I was a little worried about getting the black color thinking it might make my head hot, however, it did not! It even comes with a strap for the windy days and let me tell you, this hat did not leave my head at all! It shaded my face and shoulders perfectly. It did get wet when I was at the beach but it dried pretty quick. It’s very flexible and I rolled it up to fit in my suitcase. When I took it out the shape was still how it was when I received it! It’s not overwhelmingly big, but also not too small! Definitely a fav purchase, and going to get more in other colors (:
