This is like a push to open cabinet. Push in under the latch and it will pop open. Then push it shut to latch. Pulling at the little latch point will make you think the latch is broken.This fits very well. Unless you plan to keep tall bottles in your console this uses otherwise wasted space. I had to reposition one piece of tape that wasn't in the depression designed for it. I then installed it and filled the console area to keep pressure on it for 24 hours before putting it to use. It only opens at the top so things won't fall out but skip storing short things that will be hard to dig from the bottom.

Fits perfectly and looks good. Just a shame the double sided tape isn't very good. Kept lifting the arm up and there it was! Had to buy some more.
