We needed a comfy collar for our dog to wear indoors (and with his leash which does not attach to a collar) so that we 1) had a way to grab him quickly if needed and 2) so we could attach his tags to - this collar is light weight but very sturdy and soft with no bulky buckles to cause discomfort. Would buy this again for sure!

I was excited to have a collar for my shiba that did not pull at her neck fur. Unfortunately one night after receiving the collar, we heard our dog whining and struggling. When we found her, she was bleeding at the mouth with half the collar stuck like a gag while the other half was under her chin choking her. She had bled down her front on her chest and paws. Poor baby. Please do not buy. The sliding mechanism allows for the dog to pull the collar open with their paws.

Bought this collar for our greyhound and we love it! Due to the size and shape of the greyhounds head, we have to use a rather wide martingale collar that has a very large D-ring. Not only is the D-ring large enough to get caught on things and present a choking hazard, but the large size of the collar itself was rubbing off what little hair our guy had on his neck. The adoption agency recommended use of a tag collar and removal of the martingale while at home, so I started searching for one of those and came across this one!The collar is perfect for tags when the dog is just hang around the houser, or out and about. It's easy enough to adjust to the correct size, but no slippery such that it changes size on its own. We can leave it on with the martingale or even a harness if we so choose due to the lightweight nature of it. It also does not interfere with either of those options. The sliders are covered in a rubber, which makes the whole collar easy on the dog's neck too.

Very pleased with this collar. The collar is not meant to attach a leash to but rather a tag. Adjusted easily to the correct size (dog's neck) and my dog's name tag hangs just perfectly. These types of collars are also good in a pinch if your dog normally does not wear a snug collar around the house, which mine does not, but this gives you something to grab on to if you need a quick restraint. My dog is 50 pounds but collar "might" not work as well on a very large and/or heavy and rambunctious animal who could slip out of the collar since you allow approx. 2" of wiggle room between neck and collar. Works for me and my animal and I recommend highly.
