The pictures speak for themselves.I am pissed on behalf of my cats. As you can tell by the photos I attached, the ingredient list has changed, and they have taken out beef, Beef heart, beef, liver, and replaced it with pork liver and CLAY.This type of ingredient changes is not OK. Also, now this feels more like a soup then a paté. Now my cats don't even like the texture because it's soupy and watery. (see photos of food in their bowls)I normally buy five packs at a time, so I'm very disappointed that I got a bunch of cans which my cats don't even like. And it's not whether my cats like it – it's actually the fact that the ingredients actually CHANGED and that there was no notice. I will reach out to instinct with these batch numbers and photos as well, and hope to edit my review when they reply. This is absolutely unacceptable because it is our duty as humans to feed our cats the best food possible and it's hard to do that company changes the ingredient list without letting you know.I recommend people to research some other grain-free brands.I added comments to the photos so you could all see the OLD versus NEW cans/formulations.One thing to note -- looks like the old one says made in Thailand, and the new one says made in USA. Not sure why the ones made in the US are categorically worse.

I can only compare this to my 2 cats. Neither one likes it. Could be because they are used to only dry food. Cats need wet food to keep kidneys healthy so start when they are still kittens.

Update 2025-03-24: This new formulation has higher calories without increasing protein levels. After researching veterinary websites about protein intake I consulted with our vet, who concurred that Mio needs more protein intake. The problem is most cat food requires higher volume to reach desired protein levels, which of course increases calorie intake. Mio is an indoor-only kitty and spayed, changing her metabolism to require fewer calories. This new formulation makes that harder: The higher calories to protein ratio makes this product unacceptable.Original description of product: This new formulation removed some of the high-protein ingredients and Montmorillonite clay is now fourth on the list. The new formulation is watery, but the label still says "paté" which is misleading. Merriam-Webster defines paté as: "a spread of finely chopped or pureed seasoned meat" or "a meat or fish pie or patty." This new formulation is too watery to be spreadable or made into a patty. I supposed by removing guar gum (previous formula) the consistency will be more watery, whereas gum would thicken it into a paté consistency.

Alright, so people keep posting and talking about bone in this and the other varieties. I am starting to wonder if you see the white fleks in the food and assume it is bone, but it isn't. They literally squish in your hand or can be smushed with a spoon. They aren't hard at all, they are not going to cut your cats mouth. Lol. That being said, this food is very different from others in that it has an extremely high water content(looks watered down when you get it) and has chunks of peas and carrots in it. The peas and carrots can be smashed and mixed in. If you do not like the consistency, but your cat has chicken allergies, I recommend trying the rabbit.****** Side note, remember that wet food is JUST LIKE DRY in that you need to ween your cat when you switch foods. Mix a small amount of the new food into a larger amount of the old gradually increasing the amount of the new and decreasing the amount of the old over the course of one week. People keep screaming "MY CATS WONT TOUCH THIS!". Well your cat wont touch this because you plopped it on a plate in front of him with a smell/texture/ingredient list that is literally nothing like 99% of the foods you have likely fed him his entire life. Slow and steady wins the race kids.
