Perfect, this is just what I needed to make my kids stop closing the door or trying to sit behind it!

Bought 2 more of these because the first one worked so well! We wanted to have a way for our cats to enter/exit a room while restricting access for our dog. These straps work a treat! Easy to install, easy to open and close the door (just flick the hook). Does a great job at allowing our cats into their rooms or our bedroom at night while preventing our dog from leaving or having a litter box snack.

This was east and fast to install. More importantly, it keeps our scavenging puppy out of the room that the litter box is in.

We like to leave the door cracked so the cat can go in and out of the bedroom at night, but he never fails to completely fling the door wide open, prompting us to need to get up and reset the door. This device is great at stopping that! It's simple, adjustable, and feels high quality. The only gripe I have is that the adhesive is not very good. It's 3M, which I thought would be more than sufficient, but we accidentally had it come off, with the door paint, with no more than a firm tug while it was latched. We applied a new spare adhesive that was included with the package. You may want to consider using the screws included to really secure it to the door and the frame.Overall, great product, could use a bit stronger adhesive.

I wasn't sure if this would do the trick. The built-in lock on the screen door outside my bedroom's sliding glass door doesn't latch, so I needed something to keep my cat from pulling the door open. We just adopted 2 kittens that are definitely NOT allowed outside, but our adult cat, Larry, knows how to open the screen door, so he was letting the kittens out. I don't like letting Larry out either, but when we're home, we've found that he will hang out on the deck or where we can see him from the door. We adopted Larry after he was abandoned in our neighborhood, so he's a real homebody. On nice days when I want to leave the sliding glass door open while I'm at work, but Larry kept opening the screen door, so I needed something sturdy enough to keep Larry from opening the door, and this latch was perfect. It's sturdy, the adhesive stays stuck (make sure you give it 24 hours to set before pulling on it), and best of all, latching and unlatching is VERY quick and easy. It's perfect for what I needed.
