I bought this for an ice scoop, but it's a bit big. I bought the 7 oz. One of the smaller sizes would have been better for that use. But, it is a nice heavy duty scoop. Feels like cast iron. Looks like it will last a long time!

While I was waiting for my Hamilton Beach hot oil popcorn popper that I purchased from Amazon to arrive, I decided to buy this 7 ounce aluminum scoop to pour popcorn in my popcorn tubs that I purchased on Amazon.com. Any scoop smaller than this 7 ounce scoop won't be appropriate for filling my bowls.I have read in the reviews that most people who wash this scoop with soap and water have a problem with rust and corrosion. Deterioration of my scoop has not happened to me when I use this scoop. You have to dry the scoop with a cloth after you wash it in cold water and dishwashing soap. Never have I left it soaking in the dish water. My 7 ounce aluminum scoop is very shiny after I wash and immediately dry it with a dish rag. There is no metallic residue after you quickly wash the scoop and dry it.I am glad I bought this scoop, it fits me fine.
