I have several label makers I use at home and at work so I have experience purchasing refill labels for them. The plastic material labels are the highest quality to use as they have a clear lamination over the paper label. This makes them waterproof, smudge proof, and they won’t fade or lose color. BUYERS BEWARE: the product description states these are made of plastic material and they are not. These labels are paper material only! For reference I ordered the black on white/clear refills. Would not recommend or buy from this seller again.

This stuff wont separate well at all. Even my wife's razor like fingernails could not find an edge to peel back. does not compare to the name brand stuff.

I am super happy with these NineLeaf replacement label tapes! The reviews had me a bit worried, but I needn't have. I received 1 Black on Clear and 1 Black on White tape, both of which worked perfectly in my decade-plus old Brother PT-65 label maker (it bugs me when reviewers say "it didn't work in my label maker," but don't say which model they use!). • They are a bit tougher to snap into place than the original Brother tapes, but that's not really a problem. • The type is perhaps a BIT less black than the original Brother tape, but in a side-by-side comparison of old and new white tapes (see photos, "Snacks" and "Water" are the new ones) I could barely tell the difference. The clear tapes are probably best used on a white or light-colored surface. • Yes, the tape itself is a bit thinner than the original, but for less than half the price of a new Brother cartridge, who cares? I disagree that the tape weight itself feels like the backing paper, as another reviewer wrote - it's just slightly thinner. • The finish was shinier than I expected after reading the reviews; I'd call it "matte shiny" rather than matte, period.• As for the backing and adhesion, the people who had trouble removing the backing paper seem to have been using an older product (2019 or earlier); NineLeaf fixed it by introducing the split backing paper, which eliminates that problem. • None of the labels smudged when I applied them just after printing. • And while one mis-applied label did peel off more easily than the original labels did, I don't find that to be a problem either. They stick to their surfaces, so far.I haven't encountered any water on my labels yet, so I can't speak to the ink running when wet. If you're in an industrial environment where the labels are getting wet/dirty/being heavily handled, you might want to invest in the Brother replacement tapes. But for light household use, these absolutely fine. And you can't beat half the price of Brother tapes! Will definitely buy again.
