Being a Ninja blender, I had very high expectations. It's possible I set them too high, as I was expecting this to be able to make a smoothie with frozen fruit. I followed all directions, but was unable to get it to really do a meaningful job of blending. Even after blending it in my full-sized blender and putting it back into this one just for testing purposes, I was unable to get it to create a well-mixed whirlpool. It refused to stir the full volume of a smoothie. I was disappointed at the performance.That said, the blender is very portable, as it holds together very nicely, and is small enough to take wherever you may want, while being large enough to blend a reasonable volume (within its capabilities.) Being designed to operate with a single button, it couldn't be easier to use. However, because it won't properly make a smoothie from even blended frozen fruit, I do not use this often enough to really comment on battery life. I feel like this would perhaps be better suited to blending up protein shakes and similar things.It's also possible that I just have unrealistic expectations of a portable blender. I just expected more from something that says it "blasts through ice and frozen ingredients."

I really like this portable blender. This is the first Ninja blender that I've used, so I was impressed with just how well it works. I like using it for smoothies, and it tears through ice and frozen fruit like a dream. Everything gets perfectly mixed, and I haven't wound up with any large chunks lurking in my drinks. It's very quiet for a blender, so that's another big plus for me. It's not silent, but I don't have to worry about waking people up making a smoothie in the morning. The battery has been a pleasant surprise. I expected to have to charge it a lot more frequently, given how strong the blender is, but it makes it through the week with power to spare. I'm a little confuse why the kit includes two cups but only one bottom cap. I don't personally want to be drinking with the base still attached. That being said, if I need to, I can always just pour my drink into another glass and I'm good to go. Overall, I highly recommend this if you like making shakes, smoothies, or other blended drinks. It works great, and is really easy to use and take care of.

The Ninja Blast portable cordless blender is a fantastic piece of innovation. It is one of the best little blenders that I have used. It obliterates whatever you put in it and does it fast. The quality of all of the parts is very high and the design is smart (with one exception). I love the battery operation. I was concerned that it would not be powerful enough or last long enough, but my worries were all for naught. This thing rocks! The only thing I am puzzled about is the glaringly obvious lack of a second bottom for the vessels. I know their concept is to leave the mixer motor on one of the vessels and drink out of it. I just don't see that as a realistic or desirable way to enjoy your drink. I like to make my smoothies in advance and put them in the fridge until I want to drink them. You can't really do that with a motor hanging off the bottom. They went so far as to produce and supply a blade guard for when the vessels are not connected to the base, so why would you ever need to do that if you are going to keep a vessel on it. Just silly. I searched on Amazon for an extra vessel bottom and none were to be found. Perhaps they can be purchased directly from Ninja. I'll look into that when I get a chance. It just seems very short-sighted to not supply that with the product from the get-go. What are they saving by not including the bottom lid, maybe 50 cents? Ninja, news flash! ... In the real world we want complete common sense sets of vessels, not to have to be forced to drink with a motor attached. We used this to make baby food on the go during our vacation. It was great to be able to pick this compact unit and use it to blend fresh fruits for the toddler. We are also planning to use it for smoothies once the toddler grows up. I tried it with ice as a test and it crushed it effortlessly. It was fairly quiet too. The only cons are that it needs a good 5-10 seconds to start up after powered on. Second is that it included only one base cover. So, only one jar can be used and another will have to stay with the blender. For the price, it would be great to include the second base plate.

I was excited to try this portable blender because I do have a individual serving and regular blender, but I’ve never tried one that is portable and can be charged. First off, the blender and the vessels are compact and easy to carry. As you can see from my picture, The battery operated blade portion is quite small and comes with a cap for protection. It comes with two drinking vessels with screw on tops, with lids that open up for a spout opening. It was easy enough to use. I just charged once and it was ready to go. I would follow the instructions on the side as far as how much to fill, especially since the first time I used it the blades did get caught. It just required some shaking and then it worked fine. I recommend for a smooth, creamy smoothie to go through two 30 second rounds of blending. Cleaning was easy. And in order to bring around the drinking vessel on its own, it does provide one bottom cap. I wish that it came with two and ultimately I do wish that you didn’t have to bring as many pieces with you if you truly were using the portable feature. However, I do overall like the compact features and will continue to use it when I’m on the go but don’t necessarily want to blend my smoothie until I get to my destination. Good price for the product!
