Pro: Nicely machinedCon: Not for meAs another reviewer said: I have to use a WDT or puck leveler anyway when using this bc no amount of shaking/tapping/praying evenly distributed the grinds. The beautiful black finish spotlights all the grounds that remain in the cup - and it is quite a bit.Summary: It displays nicely in your coffee bar gear collection but is an unnecessary step.

I like how it looks, but the rim under the lid is too short and with some lateral pressure pops right off. The bottom of the "knocker" is almost flush with the cup itself, so there's always a bit of spillage when you remove it from the portafilter. I think if they tweaked the design a little (made the lid screw on/captive, added some space between the bottom of the knocker and portafilter) it would have been perfect.

I'm not going to comment on filter shakers in general, but this one is not designed well. So far everytime I use it the interior is covered in grounds. I have to brush the inside of the lid, the insert, and the sides to make sure I don't leave grams behind. It's really bad from a workflow perspective and questionable as a distribution tool. Will be returning.

Awesome tool for espresso making. Using it as a blind shaker and extraction is way up. Looks really nice. High quality material. Recommend.
