Looks really cool melting off a shelf or mantel. Reflects the sunlight so pretty. I did add a piece of sticky tape underneath to make sure it stayed in place.

I was very afraid when I first got this that the bottom would be so heavy that it would cause the disco ball to slide off of the shelf very easily. However, upon opening it I realized that the entire disco ball is made of a very light material and once he place it down it's not going anywhere. Not a single tiny mirror was out of place and it looks amazing with the light catches it.

I saw this months ago at a local cider bar and fell in love. It is light weight, decent construction. It did take me a few decorative positionings to figure out how to display it perfectly. Every person that notices it LOVES it. It’s a cute “Easter Egg” in my house.

The popularity of disco balls and mirror tiles has been great for people like me who love to have lots of sparkle. I was so hopeful for this piece and really liked the melting shape to let it hang off the edge of a shelf or a countertop - I have pets, so sometimes disco balls that are hanging end up being a temptation for the cats! This ball has a nice amount of weight to it and doesn't shift around too easily. The tiles are an issue though. There are several large gaps on the ball. Yes, many disco balls will have gaps, when manufacturers aren't willing to cut tiles to fit the awkward spaces on round surfaces. The gaps on this product are very big and very noticeable. I also have several loose tiles on mine, and I was able to glue them down, but for the $45 price point, I shouldn't have to glue this thing back together! I also have several tiles that are cracked and broken and have jagged edges. It's so cute and I had such high hopes for it, and I can cobble together enough fixes to keep it. If I was shopping for party decor (which is what this is advertised as) I certainly wouldn't be spending this much money. You can get disco balls elsewhere for much less that you don't have to glue back together. And if I had spent $5 on a disco ball, I wouldn't mind gaps so much. But that is simply not the case here.
