I have 3 adult dogs, who have all had these and so when we got our 4 dog I knew these were a must.Bailey enjoys chewing it and they're excellent to pop in your bag when taking them out, but I have 2 down points....Firstly, this is not the fault of the bone, but my eldest got hold of it, he destroyed the bone shaped one, but he is a Greek hunting dog cross pitbull and rhodesian ridgebackSecondly it's a general point I have as to finding suitable sized puppy chews, Bailey is a Caucasian shepherd cross and at just 4 months old he is as big as the above mentioned dog,. So they are a bit small in his mouthHowever if we get another dog at any time, I would definitely be buying another pack, just a shame you cant get the Y shaped one on its own

My puppy chewed chunks off within the first hour. I got the medium size according to the manufacturer suggestion. My puppy is lagotto x poodle. I wouldn’t buy again.

My golden retriever puppy (2 months when brought home) used this well when he was in his bitey mood and needed to grind on something - we used it to avoid him biting us, however unless we directed him to this toy he would rarely naturally go to it himself. It worked well enough as a distraction but I think the attraction to it was lacking, wether that be the very subtle meat flavour/smell. Still in use at 4 months old now but largely to distract and get him grinding something during his teething phase.

This isn't what I would call a puppy bone exactly but this is our experience. It has some give to it and bits the size of grains of rice do get bitten off eventually but this is much tougher than the bright orange puppy teething chews that Nylabone makes. Our Mini Australian Shepard rescue at 6 months will chew vigorously on this (wolf-size) for 30 minutes a time and just raise up some plastic bits. He has had it for 3 weeks (we only have one out at a time) and has barely gotten part of one end of the bone shape demolished. Pieces the size of rice and maybe a tiny bit bigger just pass through his system. He will occasionally get off slightly bigger pieces but he just spits those out and keeps on chewing. He has all of his adult teeth, is a moderate chewer and really enjoys the chewing sensation offered by this bone. I have confidence that he will not abuse (swallow chunks of) this chew bone. For example, as much as he still enjoys his orange puppy teething toys we don't leave them for him to use unsupervised. This product is definitely worth trying if you are looking for a good intermediate chew bone. For a durable chew I recommend the West Paw line of products. The don't smell horrible like Kongs, have a very modest amount of give to the material so they aren't rock hard like Nylabone's Durable line of bones and they still look brand new even though they are months old.
