Was without heat due to a bad ignitor. Plugged in the new one and instantly had heat! Worked as expected. Thanks!

This igniter fulfills it's purpose of glowing hot enough to light the natural gas flow in my old Carrier Weathermaker 8000 furnace.Only required a 1/4" socket wrench to remove the old igniter bracket & change out the igniter, then reinstall in furnace & insert the wiring clips together, turn on the electricity & gas and Voila! I now have heat again!A spare igniter has been ordered now too.

I woke up at 5 am on Dec 24 to a cold house. Furnace was not working. It would turn on then turn off. After several hours of youtube diagnosing and checking my furnace I concluded that furnace had bad hsi. Searched for local places that sold hsi. None were available. Searched my trusty amazon for one day delivery and sure enough North American HVAC had several hsi that would fit my carrier furnace Norton 271 M hsi. Purchased two of them at 8 am. Both arrived at my house at 6 pm. I installed it and BAM, furnace was working again. Amazon will have my business for next 5 years. Stories of Amazon not being able to fulfill their delivery promise is greatly exaggerated. It would have cost me hundreds of dollars and possibly days of delay to get my hvac fixed if I called local hvac company.
