Purchased this knife to carry on my plate carrier as a tactical CQB option, excellent blade retention, razor sharp edge, extremely good value for the price. Well-made excellent knife. Feels good in my hand, agile and easy to use for everything from chopping kindling to combat.

This is my 4th Oerla fixed blade knife. I want to get all the fixed blades. It is a beast of a knife. This knife is not for sissy’s! It’s a man’s knife and rugged to the bone! They all come paper slicing sharp and the edge has a mirror polish d shine. It’s a bit heavy but a man knows that it’s going to get the job done. My oldest Oerla Knife 4 years old. It has taken everything I can throw at it. I use its rugged features several times a week when wood working. I keep it sharp, stropped and oiled. A 74 year old man does that. Buy it great price to performance ratio!! UPDATE: I purchased this knife because it was just cool looking. It thrusts very well as expected. It also tears up some wood fast with the super sharp blade. I now use it around back country camp sites. I keep it sharp and it rocks on!

PROS:I love the unique multi-usage blade design!Thick and sturdy full tang 420hc stainless steel.Razor sharp edge.Great, light Kydex sheath with very good retention.Nice presentation box.C0NS:Handle feels too heavy in hand.Point of balance is too far back in the handle.Plastic handle is too thick and is not made of G10.Too many hot spots on the overly-textured grip. The 'Tek-Lok' style belt clip positions the knife much too high around the waist which will dig in to your side all the time.SOLUTIONS:This knife needs thinner, less textured G10 or Micarta grips. The blade should be longer than 4 inches for a better point of balance. The sheath could have a nylon or a leather dangler-belt loop for better comfort and reachability. These are strictly the opinions of a long-time knife lover and collector.

Blade weight is uneven, awkward blade shape, has a good grip and sheath keeps knife secured, came razor sharp out of the box, and the padding kept the knife from being damaged in route. All in all its alot better then what i thought it would be
