One of the 2 cables was a bit too short to allow full door opening. Luckily, the broken cable was the one that was the right length and I was able to reuse the old one for the other half.Pros: way less expensive than getting the dealership to replace a broken cable. Honda dealerships don’t replace cables, they replace the whole door motor unit.Cons: very finicky to install. Requires taking the seats out, all the interior trim off, detaching the speaker, etc. took multiple attempts to thread it properly through the spindle and motor. In the end, it allowed me to fix the door. It took most of a Saturday afternoon. We sold the van a couple months later, so I have no idea how well it will hold up over the long term.

Honda won’t sell you this as it’s a part of a part and Honda will only sell the entire assembly at eye-watering prices. This is the only practical solution to fix a broken cable for the door mechanism. Everything about the product is first rate - except… the metal toggle at the end of the cable is slightly smaller than the factory one. It fits and works but isn’t really big enough. You will have to squeeze the part that holds the toggle smaller or it will fall out. Otherwise it would be a 5 star. Note! This is not easy to replace. Just getting into where it is requires a great deal of effort. It’s doable. But not easy. Too complex to explain (and. I instructions are provided. Search YouTube and you will find some may help, but none are a complete walk through. When you get to the point where you wrap the cable on the drive drum, use all grooves but middle one. Place door in middle of travel. And don’t worry too much as after the door computer/controller resets it will calibrate it. You should also buy the trim clips (first) as many will break. They are cheap and easy to replace. Also be very careful to not drop nuts/etc as they will disappear into car body cavity. You should also buy a new door roller while you’re at it.

This fit prefectly in my 2010 Odyssey. I was concerned there might be some slack in the cables after installing, but they were exactly the right length.
