factory manual states fuel pump pressure for cj2a should be 4 1/2 psi, not the measly 2psi on this new pump. Not enough pressure to keep vehicle running at idle for very long and certainly not under load when accelerating . All new points wires and plugs ,timing set and dwell bang on and new carburator. its just starving for fuel. VERY DISAPOINTED. I contacted Amazon customer service and they arranged a refund . At first they wanted me to return it but having pressed the issue it could catch fire in the post due to fuel vapors they gave an exemption .

It looks cool and fits perfectly on my 1954 CJ3B with the F134 engine. It worked well until it stopped working. After much investigating and ordering another one from O’Reilly‘s auto parts I found out the cam lobe for the fuel pump was completely wore out and there was no fixing the problem without replacing the cam. I can’t do that now so I will switch to an electric fuel pump until I have the time and resources to rebuild the engine. I’m certain that was the original cam from 1954.
