Can this booth alone completely eliminate fumes? No, but it does do the job of pulling air through the sides of the clear water curtain while the waterfall feature catches the airbrush oversprayed paint. I coupled a 4 inch carbon air filter to the top exhaust of the water curtain spray booth, and it does help with most smells. I initially ruined the water curtain part it came with due to a project deadline, and the water was somehow parting in the middle of the water curtain. With OPHIR's customer service help, they helped me fix the waterflow issue I had and allowed me to purchase a water curtain part replacement. Now it's hard to tell that the water is flowing along the curtain, other than the sound of the pump. I love how easy it is to use now, how slim it fits on my workbench, and especially the led lights.

I recently purchased the OPHIR Upgraded Water Curtain Airbrush Spray Booth, and I have to say, I’m quite disappointed. Upon unpacking, I noticed that the clear plastic part where the water trickles down was cracked about 1/3 of the way up from the bottom. This not only affects the aesthetics but also its functionality.Additionally, I found it incredibly frustrating to try and contact the seller for assistance. The lack of clear communication channels on Amazon made the situation even more aggravating. I expected a smoother process, especially for a product that cost so much. While the concept of the water curtain is great, the quality control seems lacking, and customer service is nearly non-existent. I would suggest looking for alternatives until these issues are addressed. Overall, a disappointing experience.

Got it for Prime Day with no option to replace, so I’m screwed out of the $ difference if I return. Arrived with pieces cracked in several places (see pictures). It seems to function after 2 hours of messing with the water curtain setup, after getting static off the plastic sheet and polishing certain spots. Windex helped. If this thing lasts, catches particulates, and actually vents lacquer fumes well, I’ll bump up the score, but as of now, I’m pretty pissed about the purchase.

I got this to replace an existing spray booth. I have seen reviews that complain about this product - saying it wont remove smells completely - thats not what its designed for.I use it for airbrushing acrylic paint (Tamiya and Vallejo mostly) and lacquers (Tamiya and Gunze) with great success. I have mine venting into a bucket with filters - as I have no other options where I live. With the waterfall, there is little to no dust. Which is a great improvement. The fan does exactly what it should - pulls the paint dust out of the air and removes it from the paint area. There is still a smell but thats to be expected when using some types of paint.Cleaning is easy too - I replace the water once a month (and I use it almost daily), and I check to make sure the pump is clear of debris. The water filters at the bottom of the fall catch a lot of the paint dust - these are easy to take out and clean as well. Long story short the maintenance is not a horrible ordeal or process like some are making it out to be.Biggest challenge is the smooth laminar flow of water - which just needed some rain-x on the clear sheet, and some dish soap in the water to get things to smooth out.The noise without the fan is almost non existent - I left it running overnight once, without knowing. The fans on low, still pull air but not a ton, but make no real noise. On high you will hear them - but its not louder than the air compressor for the airbrush. In the end I am happy I picked this up, and ignored those who claim this was a "doom and gloom" not worth it product.

This is a death trap for paint fumes! The water is a cool concept but the plastic where the water flows is in front of the fan and it is one solid piece. There are no holes in the plastic so no fumes are getting to the fan. I used this twice and my lungs ache and hurt and I wore a heavy mask!! This is a total gimmick, do not waste your $!!!!! You will end up w lungs full of paint fumes.
