Funcionó perfecto al principio, pero a los 2 meses se barrió el la argolla que sostiene el alambre y quedó inservible

After daily use of our old OXO cutter it finally wore out.This new version solves the two problems with our old cutter: the wire loosening over time and eventually breaking off from the slack.We only wish the width was adjustable. Your supposed to angle it but that gives you random sizes. If you cut firmly against the rail this version cuts prices at 0.300" where the old version cut them at 0.200". Not a huge deal for me but my nan is on a diet and the change in size is hard to adjust to. It would be nice if the roller moved up and down to adjust size. Other than that it is a great product and the extra included wire combined with the tensioning wheel should more than double it's lifespan.

Este producto es esencial para las personas que gustan del queso. Este en particular se lo compré a mi mamá ya que el nuestro es igual pero nos lo compraron en Estados Unidos cuando Amazon todavía no vendía cosas en México. O sea tiene más de 5 años y sigue funcionando a la perfección. Viene con un repuesto del cable que es el que en realidad corta el queso, el cual no hemos tenido necesidad de reemplazar. Es muy robusto y tiene buen agarre para cortar quesos más duros. Es bastante ancho por lo que se puede cortar una rebanada grande sin problema. De igual forma no tiene problemas cortando a profundidad si lo que se requiere es una rebanada gruesa. La marca es sinónimo de calidad y practicidad.

I had one of these before but I cannot find it for the life of me. You can get much cheaper cutter but this one ouzes quality and I control the depth of slice by the angle I hold it at which is a much simpler thing than adjustable slicers. Reviewers of OTHER slicers moaned about problems fixing of the wire securely and related issues and I know what they mean but since I switched to this slicer - no such problems. Easier to clean by the way than boards with wires attached.

OXO has done it right. Their cheese cutter with replaceable wires cutters gives you a quality instrument with an adjustable/replaceable wire cutter. Over time and use, the wire cutter does stretch or the ends pull out of the terminators so no matter how careful you are, you will need to occasionally replace the wire cutter. However if you leave the wire cutter drawn tight in the drawer, you will end up replacing it more often. So loosen it before storing the cutter and then tighten it up with the thumb knurl when you go to use it.
