Me ha funcionado muy bien, cumple con su propósito, lo tengo conectado con una tv, un módem de internet, un ventilador y sistema de sonido de 2.1 Logitech y los protegió de la más reciente descarga que hubo en la colonia.Recomiendo ampliamente.

The Panamax is more expensive then other surge protectors I checked out but I know it's a quality unit. I have seen them used on different applications for protecting valuable equipment. I know it will do the job intended and save me money down the road. Being used to protect furnace and on demand water heater electronics.

Este es un aparato bastante completo. El indicador de la tierra es una maravilla. Si esta encendido significa que tienes buena tierra, si este esta apagado la tierra es practicamente inexistente. Mejora la calidad de la linea y tiene la caracteristica de cortar la corriente a altos y bajos voltajes. No funciona como regulador de voltaje.

This is my second purchase of this unit; Panamax miffed me a bit because this purchase was due to a failed maxx 1000+. Panamax customer service has gone downhill; the old units lasted at least 10yrs of troublefree operation before failure. And the only way to get a replacement unit is to spend too much money. I purchased a couple of these to have a couple of "always on" outlets that you cannot get with lower priced panamax products. I have long trusted panamax and that is why I purchased these two units. But apparently this item is discontinued, and I fear the company may be going the same direction. Their products used to come highly recommended in the stereophile community, and other heavy power draw industries; now I am not so sure. These particular units are solidly built, and I trust leaving them on all the time given the positive results of past experience. I have never had a smoking failure or burned out unit- both of my failed units are due to voltage regulators failing, and I assume that is a part that wears out over time - the failed unit did what it was supposed to do: shut down and leave my equipment unharmed.

Not too disimilar from other surge protectors. Very basic functionality. Generous protection for equipment plugged into the device. The one feature I really appreciate is the voltage regulation functionality. If your home electrical ground is less than optimal and some of your leads are getting worn out in your electrical meter, as I did, you may have lower than optimal voltage that can destroy electrical equipment. This can detect low voltage, (like I had), alert me, and disconnect my equipment to prevent harm. Standard power strip will just let your stuff die from low voltage and you will never know anything is wrong until things start to go poorly. Then it is likely too late. I think this, or a comparable surge protector with voltage regulation/detection is well worth the additional $20 it costs, depending on how nice the stuff is you are plugging in.
