Esperemos que resista las tormentas eléctricas que nos asolan por aquí porque ahí está conectado un aparato que sintoniza con un timbre que lleva colgado al cuello una persona mayor.

I have had a Panamax since 1995. It worked great, but during a power surge due to an open neutral caused by the power company's line, it burned up. However, everything plugged into it was fine. This new replacement works as well. This is a great product and is recommended for anyone with expensive equipment to protect. I will only use Panamax surge protectors, since they have proven reliable to me and protected my extensive computer system.

I first started using Panamax Surge Protectors back in the early 90's when I was doing Satellite Dish installations in the mountains of North Carolina. We would not do an installation if the customer did not purchase a Panamax. The reason is that the mountains are notorious for lightning strikes. A 10 foot Satellite Dish is a big target and many were on 10-15 foot high poles.Our company chose Panamax because they were the only company that guaranteed protection against lightning strikes and they offered up to a $50,000.00 replacement of all components that were connected. I saw many incredible lightning strikes that took out the dish, the receiver, the TV and anything else. We never had a problem with Panamax honoring their guarantee.Today I have every piece of electronics protected by Panamax Surge Protectors. My latest purchase the SP8-AV I bought to protect my musical equipment. This includes my PA system, power amp and mixers. I have others to protect all outlets in my home studio. I have Panamax Surge Protectors protecting all of my computers, my home theater and my appliances the lone exception being my stove. The Panamax AV series cleans the signals from my cable lines and I truly noticed a difference with my HDTV. I use them to protect my network and my telephones.If there is a better surge protector on the market I don't know of one. Panamax offers a wide variety of protectors from 2 outlet wall units to high-end EMF/RF line conditioners. You will pay much more for a Panamax than any other surge protector but you have the peace of mind knowing that if anything connected to a Panamax is damaged by a line surge, lightning or any other type of possible electrical problem that they stand behind their warranty. You spend your hard earned money on nice electronics why take the risk of loosing it all with a cheap surge protector? If there is another company that guarantees against lightning strikes I do not know of one. Thankfully Amazon is one of the few authorized online retailers that offer Panamax products. Do yourself a big favor and buy a Panamax today.

The SP8-AV surge suppressor has been doing great for me. I use it to protect my desktop in my office. So far, I have had no issues. I wouldn't settle for the big box store suppressors as they are way overpriced for what you get in protection. The build is solid and the layout of the outlets are ideal for big adapter plug ins. I will purchase more in the future for other computer setups.
