It's a fun game. A few people thought it was complex, but regular gamers found it an enjoyable opener or filler. The app is a plus for scoring as explaining what it will ask each rounds is a good way to explain the targets and goals.

I view the luck/skill balance of a game based on the playtime involved. This is a short, 20 minute game that has the luck of the card draw but a lot of interesting, meaningful decisions on each round. That is all good. The rules are short and simple: 3 minutes to read; one, maybe two games to understand how everything works, that's excellent.The game design is strong, well balanced yet unlikely to produce a runaway leader. All good here, tooThe cards are good quality and the art is functional and nice. They colors also have "colorblindness coding" to reduce that issue. Pixies is a card drafting game where each player builds their own board (tableau). Interaction occurs in the draft where players can reasonably monitor each other's areas and make decisions based on both their own needs and the needs of opponents. Not infrequently, your draft will not benefit you directly but you can take what someone else needs. This is part of the game here and it's a strong design element. Pixies is a rules simple game with depth. Recommended
