I used these to laminate a one-off need that wouldn't fit onto a standard sheet of paper. It worked fine in my larger laminator. I can't say how they'd be with consistent use, but I did get something smooth that was easy to use and didn't wrinkle.

I'm a laminator lover! I'll sometimes just LOOK for things to laminate! What I'm thrilled about is (a) to have finally gotten the 5mil thickness of laminating pouches, which provides more rigidness, and (b) to have them be 11.25 by 17.5 inches in size! I've been wanting both the thickness and size I just mentioned and here they are in this -- which came 200 to the box, with it divided into two different packages within. Which was good because total, the box is heavy. My old laminator said I could only put 3mil pouches through it (on only was wide enough to accept 9x11.5 size pouches), but now having a new laminator these 5mil pouches work great! Not only do I laminate things for work and home (more often using a regular 9x11.5 size pouch that I've had a bunch for awhile and that this new machine can easily take), I also laminate larger drawings and documents for my husband who needs those for work. If you're in a pinch and want only a 9x11.5 pouch, or smaller, you can cut that down yourself and run it through without an issue. The only reason I'd suggest just doing that is if you wanted something to have the 5mil thickness of lamination -- to be more rigid -, but I wouldn't suggest doing that all of the time since you're kind of wasting the pouches. Though you could put what you cut away through the laminator if you have something that would fit within the cutaway pieces (so don't throw away what you cut away). Then you just have to be sure you don't move the pieces you put in it around, use the correct sides of the laminating materials, etc. Anyway, the 5mil thickness of pouches is always more expensive than the common 3mil thickness of pouches, so my recommendation is to have both thickness of patches on hand for whatever type you need (that's assuming your laminator accepts both 3mil and 5mil). I think then you may save money in the long run by not potentially wasting any of your 5mil that you're cutting down -- assuming you're using this larger size of pouch. One other thing, these pouches have rounded corners, which is nice so that they won't poke someone with a sharp corner edge. Now I've got to go, I found something to laminate!

So the listing said 17.5 x 11.5 but the photo said 9x11.5 which made me unsure what I was getting, but in the end you always have to trust the listing description and so it turns out it was 17.5 x 11.5 which won't fit in my laminator.However, you can put your paper into the sleeve and then cut it with scissors and that works well to adapt it down to a single sheet laminator like I have. So that means I have a LOT of laminator sheets to use. My little portable laminator is able to press everything together pretty well and it's good for school work or pictures my kids have drawn that I want to memorialize and don't have to worry about them being destroyed. It doesn't delaminate if you cut into the middle of sheet after laminating so you could make flash cards with it as well.
