I have had it on my Yamaha 20HP for about 2.5 years now in the carribean and it has been maintenance free. Locks and unlocks after a year of not touching it. Rugged and I am very happy with it. Only downside is that it interferes slightly with the engine tilt release lever but it is easy to work around. I would buy again if I ever needed another engine lock.

Very heavily built OB lock.Thief will have to rip the transom off if he wants to steal it.

Took me a bit to understand how it opened but once I got it, it was easy. You definitely want a tight fit or it will vibrate on the engine mounts. But looks impressive as a deterrent for sure. Does sort of block the lever for lifting the motor up but I can still reach it. It’s made well and worth buying.
