I bought these to replace one in a very nice outdoor standing solar lamppost. It was the exact same voltage, size and serial number. I checked again after getting them that I had purchased the right thing.I turned the item off, popped out the old battery, and popped in the new one. It was aligned properly. I put the little door back on, turned it on, and went to put the mechanism back up at the top of my lamppost.Suddenly, I smelled something and the lighting mechanism started smoking like crazy and getting hot. I was afraid it would burst into flames or explode, so I put it on the ground and walked away. Once it stopped smoking, I turned the switch off. My lamp is now completely fried.Not only was this a waste of money on the batteries, but now my lamppost is garbage, too.Please do not waste your money on these. Buy a different brand.

Batteries appear well made and perform conssistent with their capacity specification. Many unknown label 18650's are sold with grossly inflated fictional specifications- these are an exception. AFter using a relatively short time, their lifetime is unknown, but to date they seem to charge and deliver power to common loads (flashlight, owon oscilloscope) seamlessly.

The positive end doesn't seem to have much of a nub the way other batteries have, but that doesn't seem to affect my flashlight. I just need to ensure it's inserted correctly. This is part of the listing that it has a "Flat Top".I charged them and we ran the flashlight for about an hour before it started degrading. Another 15 minutes and it was dead.It took about an hour for it to charge.
