I selected these for my teen son, who plays travel baseball. He works with a hitting coach, so he's learned how to adjust his grip while hitting to reduce finger "burns", but he liked the concept. He's 15 years old and a big kid, so he used the larger one at practice a few times. He said the material is comfortable to use and it fit nicely on his large digits. Unfortunately, he's not overly organized, and these things are pretty small, so it got lost somewhere between the dugout and the car. I don't think this is something he will gravitate to as standard fare for practice, but if it shows up when he empties his travel pack for the next season (nestled somewhere among the empty water bottles and empty sunflower seed packs), I'm sure he'll get another few uses out of it.

These thumb guards are a convenient little tool if they work for your swing. The materials are decently strong. Two different sizes allow a bit of trial-and-error to figure out what works best. They won't work for everyone, and it will take a little practice to figure out the best technique.It didn't work for me, but that is not due to the product.

These are too big for kids. My son has bigger hands than a normal kid his age, but that wasn't big enough for these as while he had them on, his grip was altered enough that these were more of a hindrance than an aid. When he gets bigger I'm sure it'll be fine though.
