The five-pack of M-K231 12mm label tape compatible with Brother label makers is a very affordable way to stock up. I tested a tape in my P-Touch Home & Hobby II. I printed a string of W, M, L, and O letters to see if there was any slippage. Everything printed cleanly without overlapping letters. I was pleased with the quality of the printed labels. I noticed that the backing must be removed differently than Brother tape. The backing on this tape is slit lengthwise down the middle. To remove it, you simply squeeze the tape in half lengthwise and the backing starts to separate from the tape. You can then easily grab the loose backing to pull the rest of it from the tape. This is actually simpler than trying to separate the backing on Brother tape. Overall, this tape is a good value for quality tape.

Great alternative tape cartridge. I checked all the functions and they work.PRINTINGIt prints just as nicely as the name brand. You probably can't tell the differece in printing unless you zoom in 15-30X. See photos.FIT IN MACHINEI had no problems fitting this in the machine. Nor did I have to cut an inch off to pre-start it, like what I had to do with some other aftermarket tapes. This one just pops in and it works.QUANTITYThey give you just as much as the OEM brand. I checked and compared the thickness of the interior rolls.OVERALLExcellent value compare to the OEM brand. At 5 for $15, this is about $3 each. If it stays at this price, I think I will be buying this instead of the OEM version or other aftermarket options.
