OK, chalk this one up to user error. I saw this product and thought, "I can save some waste by covering my mop with re-usable covers." I did read the specifics which indicated that these could be used with other brands of floor mops, so I wasn't completely ignorant. There is no way of attaching the cover to any other kind of mop.Looking at these covers, I can't see how they would be strong enough to stay on a mop. The Velcro-like backing is not strong and there is no other way to attach it to a mop handle. I feel that a hard push at a suborn piece of dirt will dislodge the cover.Also, in the original Rubbermaid covers, there are two heavier strips of cloth along the long side of the cover. The covers under review, however, are plain and the same for the entire cover. That means that they won't catch up dirt in the in-between space nor is there a rougher surface for deeper cleaning.
