Currently a 4 pack of non-rechargeable Energizer Ultimate/Industrial lithium AAs goes for around $13-15.00. While rechargeable lithium batteries don't hold their charge as long, the savings accrued by using them greatly outweighs any inconvenience associated with having to change batteries out more frequently, IMO.Like most others I've purchased that charge in a charging station, these are rated at 2400mAh. I've got others that connect directly to a usb cable and they're generally rated around 1200mAh. So while you'll see those advertised cheaper here, they're about half as long lasting in use - depending on what you use them with. There's nothing unique about these batteries that limits them to use in the Meta Quest device. I run a lot of trail cameras in my backyard and these perform on the same level as other lithium AA rechargeables in those devices. The cameras are heavy-use items, as they capture both daylight and nighttime videos. Averaging anywhere from 40-100 20 second videos a day, I get about 5 days of use out of 8 of them in each camera. That's probably 3 days less than I get with non-rechargeables. For non-critical uses where battery changing is easy, that's fine. I don't use them in things that are of a critical nature (smoke alarms, for instance) or that are difficult to reach to change batteries. In terms of the charging station, I really prefer these boxes with the magnetic lid where you just drop the batteries in over the other type, which are open and require you to fit the battery between two contacts. Overall just more convenient and easier to use.If you use a lot of lithium AAs and find yourself experiencing sticker shock every time you go shopping for another pack of 4 or 8, you really need to consider getting a set of these. If you're a really heavy user like me, you'll be coming back for more. They truly are a money saver.

Got these when some cheaper rechargeable batteries died. These are much better! Good quality case, to hold/charge the batteries. Charging lights are a nice touch in top of the lid. Batteries last longer than standard Nickel rechargeable batteries. Definitely worth the buy!

NOTE: as of the review date I've only managed to put 2 batteries through 2 cycles in 2 weeks of use - they just won't quit!I've been using Ni-MH batteries in my Quest 3 controllers, MP3 player, RC equipment, etc. forever. They work well & take multiple charges. However, the initial voltage is less than carbon based batteries & the voltage drops off over time which some equipment doesn't like. These batteries are Li-ion (2400mAH) which means they have a higher open voltage & it remains there until suddenly it isn't.The case is the charger but you have to provide the power source. I use the one that came with the Q3.The batteries have small clear covers on them. Hang on to them if you want to store the batteries in the charger. Of course, remove them to charge them.I love the fact you can charge from 1 to 4 batteries at a time. My older chargers require 2 or 4 to charge. I always seemed to have an odd number that needed charging. This charger is ONLY for Li-ion batteries. The ad said it has built in safety so you can't charge the wrong chemistry batteries in it. I tried! It recognized the non Li-ion battery & it flashed that position RED.So far I had the MP3 player running for over 8 hours before it went from 100% to 25%. The Q3 controllers are now on hour 7 & are still at 100%! If these really can be charged 1600 times, I'll never need batteries again.

Summary:A compact and cool looking AA battery charger with a flip top case, USB-C charging, and clear indicator lights, though battery longevity is uncertain.Pros:• Compact case with flip top design for portability• Charges via USB-C and includes a USB-A to USB-C cable• Clear LED indicators for charging status• includes four AA rechargeable batteries• The case has a magnetic closure to help you secureCons:• Battery lifespan is uncertainThis smart charger provides a convenient way to charge and carry four AA batteries, housed in a sleek flip top case. It supports both USB-C and USB-A to USB-C charging, making it versatile for various power sources. The LED lights shine through the top, giving a clear indication of charging status and battery health. The charger itself is well designed and functional, but the real test will be how long these rechargeable AA batteries last over time. Regardless, it’s a practical and portable solution for keeping batteries charged on the go.Disclaimer:I received this product as part of the Amazon Vine program. A bit ago I decided to stop using regular batteries and started using rechargeable ones as they appear to be more cost effective to me. Anyways, I got a few batteries and I got a charger for them and such. Everything was well but then I made a mistake and I ordered some Lithium batteries but never realized it, I was able to use them just fine but when I went to recharge them, the current charger I had didn't work, I thought either the charger or the batteries were broken but after lots of testing I realized they were just not the same kind and my charger couldn't charge them. I forgot about them for some time but then I saw this set that came with 4 batteries, which by the way, has way more capacity than the ones I was using before. The whole package is very nice. You get the 4 batteries and the charging case which is very slick and useful. When you are ready to charge the batteries, just place them inside, close the lid and connect the case to the e power via USB C cable. You will then see flashing lights on the top of the case showing you the batteries are charging. If some are already charged they will stop and be solid. Now I have the option to charge the other Lithium batteries I got and again they have more capacity than the other kind I had. No issues and working as expected. I really like this. I actually 3D printer a nice charging stand for my Meta Quest 3 and added this charging case as part of the design so I can always have freshly charged batteries for my controllers.
