Was great on our trip to Europe. Didn’t rain, but kept my head warn on cold days. Fit in my pocket and was handy

While the photos are not deceptive, I perceived them to show this to be a structured hat - it is not. It ships in a flat envelope, that should tell you everything you need to know on the matter.Also, despite the advertisement that it is “100% Waterproof Nylon”, it is not. The tag (and the feel of it) confirm that it is 100% polyester. While this will likely leave it more water repellant than nylon, it will breath about as well as a plastic bag. I can’t imagine using it as a “sun hat”, nor for my intended purpose of wearing it with my trench coat at a formal event on a rainy day (it’s too casual).It does however have a couple of things going for it – it has a detectable chin strap for wear in windy weather, and it has an internal drawstring (in the headband) which can be adjusted to create a more snug fit.Now if I can just figure out how to get the wrinkles out of it, it will make a serviceable rain hat. Can you iron polyester?

stands up well to biking in the rain. nice and waterproof as claimed, the drawstring is handy to keep it on your head in wind. the brim isnt big enough to keep water totally off my face, but my hair stays dry.folds into nothing if you don't want to wear it at your destination, but honestly its almost stylish.
