My two dogs, Kyla (13-year-old Siberian Husky) and Lily (6-year-old Husky mix), absolutely love these Dentastix! They look forward to their daily treat, and I’ve noticed their breath stays fresher and their teeth cleaner. A great choice for large breeds—highly recommended! We have these as a recurring order for the past 2 years, and we will definitely continue :)

Our dog has eaten these for 8 years. She loves them and they do help clean her teeth/give her good breath! I have them on subsciption so that we never run out and the dog stays happy :)

Long review but please read! Bought Dentastix past couple years for our 2 pups, no issues in past- had on Subscribe & Save. Gave them 1 each per day. However, 2 days ago a Major bad turn happened with our 10 yr old male mixed Boxer-Pittie (rescued him at age 1). Had gave him and our lil female mixed Pittie their daily Dentastix on eve of Sun 03 16 25. Didn't know cause of distress at time, but at 0315am on Mon 03 17 25 our boy FREAKED out whining, barking loudly, stomping front paws...like he Had to Go outside immediately. Let him out, peed but didnt poop, and he refused to come back inside (VERY unusual as he's primarily an inside doggo), but after about 45 mins he finally did. This bewildering whacko behavior with our male continued off and on for several hours- he basically in panic-like mode. Still had no clue what was causing this. At about noon that Monday, he had just came back in yet again from outside for like the 5th time (I work from hime daily- again VERY unusual for him to stay out that long)- laid on couch, but heart was racing & panting crazily like he couldn't catch breath. At that point said to myself this is an allergic reaction to Something! No swelling or puncture wounds that would indicate venomous snake bite, no fireant bites, etc. He did have somr lumps on side of body but when feeling them had no bite indications of any kind.At that point scheduled vet visit for 4:20pm (only avail opening), and gave him 100mg of Benadryl. 10 mins later whacko behavior begins again, let him out and that's where he stayed for 3 hours (yet again, Never had stayed out that long before- Ever!!). Checked on him periodically and he was finally resting peaceful and napping off/on. He came back in finally around 3:30, good spirits & tail wagging again, etc. The Benadryl worked apparently!Still went to vet, doc was bewildered much as I was except dog did have minor ear infection (cleaned & medicated with Rx drops) Got back home and still no further issues at that point, he was back to normal self. As "reward" for being good boy at vet visit, gave him his daily Dentastix...surprise, guess what? 10 minutes later he was back in crazy painc mode!Gave another Benadryl dose and thankfully all was calm & good til 0415am next morning (this was Tue)...then whack behavior started over. Let him out for 45 mins, finally came back in and gave him Benadryl yet again.Thankfully, all is back to normal now! All remaining of Tue 03 18 15 he was fine and as of Wed 03 19 25 at 0220am he sleeps peacefully.Googled Pedigree Dentastix complaints yesterday & found NUMEROUS bad reviews with Very serious medical issues- from bloody diarrhea to vomiting and lethargy to trouble breathing. One reviewer even noted her GS dog died at home after eating Dentastix and then bloated. Many reviewers also pointed out risky flavor fillers and such in the ingredients. Thanks for reading this if made it to end. This is Serious, and I'll definitely be contacting Pedigree (though not expecting much as the negative online reviews go back several years- coupled with many positive reviews same time). Who knows, likely just varies dog to dog as our female pup has never had such bad reaction (she's 6 YOA) and our affected male didn't either until now. Nevertheless, wife & I will NEVER ever ever ever buy or give our fur kiddos Dentastix again. Take care and keep loving & protecting your fur kiddos.

Greenies is over-rated; these actually work on the breath issue of our miniature schnauzer. We'd been giving the dogs Greenies for the past 11 years but never really saw any difference. If it wasn't for the high ratings for Greenies, I would have researched long before this. These dental sticks made such a difference on the first use. Our little schnauzer loves to get right up in your face; he doesn't lick or give kisses, he just likes to sniff and OMG his breath would make gag. Not anymore. And these are less expensive making them a double win.
