These are NOT throwaways! They are good-looking, quality mechanical pencils at a really good price. I would call them "executive quality" for technical people like myself. The sliding sleeve protects shirt pockets. The two pencils come with extra #2 lead and replacement erasers.

My go to mechanical pencils they work well; easy grip, nice large eraser.

I LOVE these pencils. They are lightweight, but sturdy. I bought one of those fancy stainless steel ones, thinking I would 'upgrade' but it broke within a couple months and was chewing up my lead.I went for the 0.5 over the 0.7 because the value of this assortment pack was hard to ignore (eraser refills!!). The 0.5 lead rarely snaps.... used to snap all the time with my 0.5 dr grip and the 0.7 fancy steel pencil. Just shows the integrity of the design of this pencil.Oh! And Pentel lead cannot be beat.. goes down smoothly and has a nice tone.
