I love these pencils. The 0.9 mm lead doesn’t break as easily as thinner leads, the feel in my hand is good, and the lead advancing mechanism works well.

Good pencil solid design. But as a Finish carpenter who puts his pencil in his cloth pocket is not good because of the sharp tip that protrudes. Consider a retractable tip if that's your situation to.

Every bit as enjoyable and easy to use as they were back in the 80's. If you tend to snap the lead, this larger diameter will cure that problem.

About 90% of my printing and writing is done with inexpensive mechanical pencils. I ordered eraser refills for my plastic mechanical pencils but mistakenly ordered eraser refills that were designed for draftsman mechanical pencils. I never considered getting upscale mechanical pencils, but I decided to research the draftsman type. When I saw these on Amazon, I couldn't resist giving them a try. They are made with a metal casing and have a high-tech quality appearance. They came in a 4-pack and are great pencils, comfortable grip and easy to write with. I use them every day at my desk and keep one in my computer bag. These use a heavier .9mm lead that does not break as easily as thinner leads but produce a less fine line. The same pencils are available with several different lead sizes depending on your needs. Much like the other draftsman mechanical pencils that I bought at the same time as these, and reviewed separately, they are a guilty pleasure but for an item that I use extensively every day. If you have the need for precision pencils, these are a good choice.
