I bought this feeder for the stray cats at my mom's house because its ability to schedule meals is the best feature. The setup was quick and easy—my mom, who is in her late 50s and not very tech-savvy, was able to figure it out in no time. This product is a game-changer since she can set the feeder to dispense food at specific times, which is incredibly helpful when she's not around.

Works great, can release different amount of foods remotely. Notified me when food getting low. Love it.Reminder...Don't rely on auto feeders. Power goes out.

Took me a while to figure out how to use it, because the little user guide is not very clear on where to add my cat schedule.Once I figured it out, it was great—more or less. The first time it came out it was not very much and I realized that was because it was the very first time. So after figuring out how to add food whenever I wanted to, I dispense the food and finally it came out. After that, it worked just fine.I don’t have any D batteries and so I’m having to order them. I like the idea of having a back up in case I’m not home, and the power goes out. It’s the app that kind of makes things difficult. As I stated before, it took me a while to figure out how to add a schedule and how to automatically give her food when I wanted to. What I don’t like about the app, is that you have to pay in order to use it. I chose the option $6 a month and we’ll see how it goes. A free app would’ve been much nicer, because I just want the device just to give her food when she needs it, even when I’m not home, and I’m not gonna get up in the middle of the night. I never have done so, but she still thinks I should and comes up onto the bed and nudges me and meows in my ear.I love my cat, a lot, but I am the boss of this house, not her. I know she doesn’t get that, which is why, after 11 years, she still begs for food in the middle of the night. 😜

I have no real cons about this feeder but ive only had it for half a day so ill have to update after a couple weeks but for now let's go through the good thing. The only bad thing I experienced is that the cord is a little hard to put in the back so I couldn't figure out why it wasn't turning on and it turned out that I just needed to jam the cord further in.Pros:*easy set up - just plug in and download the app, with simple instructions.*has a slot for fresh pack so the food stays fresh*holds about 6.5 pounds of small cat kibble* has a lock on the lid so the cats can't open it/ also has a lock on the touch pad so the cats can't auto dispense whenever they like.*dispenses the exact amount. I set it to a half cup amd the emptied the bowl into a measure cup and it was exact.*battery backup. Supports d batteries, in case of power outage.* app is really easy to navigate.* looks really clean and matches my other cat products. I actually turned away other higher reviewed feeders because this one matched better and im glad I did.* sturdy enough that I don't think the cats will tip it over.* cheaper than alternatives* comes apart into different sections to clean.

Bought mainly due to small size and design (too-smart-for-his-own-good kitty doesn’t do well with translucent-tank feeders where he can see the kibble). When it worked, which was for about two months, it worked well. Some initial connectivity issues with my mesh network, not deal-breaking, just time-consuming and frustrating. I liked the app; I don’t use any feeder for regular meals, it’s an emergency backup for when life outside the house runs longer than expected and I can’t give him his usual wet food. The small portion sizes are great for a cat snack. Around month three, the thing randomly started beeping. I never figured out any rhyme or reason, checked every single thing that could be wrong (food level, wifi, battery backup, settings, clear food chute, and many others) multiple times, even had someone else double check but it beeped all day, every day. Tried hard resets, deleting the wifi, changing the feeder’s location, nothing. The beeps really started to wear on me, much like an incessant smoke alarm low battery chirp. They REALLY annoyed the cat, who thinks any noise from the feeder means mealtime. I’m past the return and support window, and have not gotten a response from my email to PETLIBRO. Tonight, I finally relaxed in beep-free bliss because I unplugged the cursed thing and removed the battery. Too expensive for a product that lasts six months and then has inexplicable errors and non-existent support. I’ve seen other complaints of beeping like this and no one has found a solid fix. Mainly, it’s a shame that yet another product line will soon find its way to landfills in droves. One other thing: cat outsmarted a few other feeders and tried with this one. The opaque tank design and locking mechanism on this were great. But a big problem was that pushing the lock button when it was locked caused the feeder to say “buttons locked” in the default male voice. I messed around with settings to see if I could disable this, to no avail. Not sure if that was a detail they overlooked or if mine simply didn’t work from the get-go, because there was very little instruction and troubleshooting available. Cat eventually stopped trying buttons when he realized he wasn’t getting anywhere, but boy did that “buttons locked” voice scare me about 1000 times.
