It took a bit to program it but has worked out great. I appreciate the ability to dispense just a little bit more if needed through the manual feeding option in the app. Definitely not for medium to large sized kibble.

I have tried other automatic feeders but this one is so easy to use with my smart phone. My cat runs whenever she hears the sound the feeder makes. She is such a fussy eater but she loves to eat now.

I took in a stray cat during covid. He was a skinny mess and would eat anything I put out for him. Once he learned to trust me and moved into my house, he took over and turned into the worlds most finicky cat. His vet told me there were automatic feeders that you could set to drop a very small amount a food multiple times per day, and perhaps that would solve the problem. The cat and I are still working through our issues, but I can't say enough positive things about this feeder. It has several pieces that all fit together nicely. It is very easy to program the clock and then program the times you want to feed the cat and how much food you want the feeder to dispense with each feeding. I have mine set to feed 7 times throughout the day. The phone app lets you know if the feeder is jammed and not dispensing and if the food level in the feeder is getting low. It also allows you to dispense additional food at any time with a tap to the app. The is the best tool I've bought for the cat in a long time. Now if I could just convince him to eat his food and to stop trying to steal mine!

I have a previous generation, and 2 from this version. All 3 are from this brand and were new when purchased. All 3 work well, have no mechanical issues and are wifi enabled. All 3 go off at different times with a 30 second difference between the earliest and the latest.As many multi-cat owners know, this is all the time their black hole of a cat needs to steal the other cat's food. I spoke to customer service within their app and they said its NOT SOMETHING THEY WILL FIX.Do not buy this if you plan to use multiple to feed your cats. I wish i could return all 3 for a better multi-cat solution.

This is the second time I've purchased this unit. The first purchase was the non-WiFi model which we used exclusively on battery power for over 6 months without needing to change the battery. The manual on-device interface menu is perfectly usable, though a bit awkward to use without picking up the unit.The metal bowl is easy to remove and clean, and perfect to keep the cat healthy (she has reactions to plastic bowls).The portion size is a little larger than we used to give her manually, but the cat adjusted and is now doing very well with the regular scheduled feedings from this.More expensive feeders may have more features, but most have much larger minimum portion sizes. This device provides great functionality and at a great price.Unfortunately the first unit was lost in Hurricane Helene (thankfully everyone, including the cat were safe). We purchased the Wifi model to replace it, which makes it significantly more convenient.In terms of the app- Easy to use- Provides a clear record of feedings- Easy interface for manual feedings- Con: Easy to accidentally press the manual feed button. A 'click to confirm' option would be beneficial to minimize errors.- Con: One scheduled feeding seems to be triggering twice as seen in the 'Records' tab. I had to delete and re-add that entry to resolve.- Con: Only their official "Petory App" is officially supported, which is not a good sign for long-term support. TBD if it can be made compatible with alternative / open-source applications (ie: SmartLife).Update: The unit unexpectedly lost wifi and wouldn't reconnect, with the wifi icon simply showing a solid red. It took me a while before I accidentally discovered that the backup battery was the issue; the batteries were old and not giving enough power. When I left them out, the unit worked fine again. So, be WARNED the backup battery can itself cause power issues. A small UPS may be a more reliable solution.
